LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Disney is now facing backlash from MAGA for bringing back Jimmy Kimmel's show after suspending it 'indefinitely'.

Jimmy Kimmel's show was suspended on September 18 after he said the death of Charlie Kirk was being exploited by 'MAGA gang'. The decision has now been reversed, drawing boycott calls from MAGA.

Disney announces return of Jimmy Kimmel

The show will return to its regular time slot on September 23, after it was suspended last week for the comments Kimmel made on Kirk’s death.

A spokesperson from Disney said, “Last Wednesday, we made the decision to suspend production on the show to avoid further inflaming a tense situation at an emotional moment for our country. It is a decision we made because we felt some of the comments were ill-timed and thus insensitive.”

“We have spent the last days having thoughtful conversations with Jimmy, and after those conversations, we reached the decision to return the show on Tuesday,” the spokesperson added.

Backlash from MAGA against Jimmy Kimmel's return

But those talks weren't enough for MAGA conservatives. Andrew Kolvet, an executive producer of Charlie Kirk's show, took to X (formerly Twitter), tweeting, “Disney and ABC caving and allowing Kimmel back on the air is not surprising, but it's their mistake to make. Nextstar and Sinclair do not have to make the same choice.”

The companies he mentioned, Nextstar and Siclair, own the largest number of local ABC stations in the country. Together with Sinclair, it promoted the suspension of the show last week.

Right-wing political commentator Auron Macintyre urged his followers on X to flood ABC, Disney, and its advertisers with criticism.

“All hands on deck patriots,” Macintyre began. “ABC is returning Jimmy Kimmel to air after it’s affiliates were threated with terrorist attacks...ABC wants America to know that terrorism will be rewarded, this cannot stand...Phone calls, email, social media, flood every inbox and notification tab.”

Macintyre then posted the email and phone numbers of the executives within the companies, as well as those of the sponsors, including PetSmart, Target, Dairy Queen, and Mercedes-Benz.

MAGA Voice, an anonymous account with 1.3M followers, wrote on X, “Disney ABC let the WOKE Mob get to them and decided to bring back Jimmy Kimmel. TIME TO BOYCOTT DISNEY.”

Protest by liberals against Jimmy Kimmel cancellation

Before announcing this decision, the company was facing a call of boycott from protesting liberals, with Howard Stern saying that he had unsubscribed to Disney+.

Stern wasn't the only one protesting. The pressure had been mounting from entertainment giants, including celebrities like Tom Hanks, Jennifer Aniston, and Meryl Streep, who signed a letter protesting the cancellation of the show.

Conservative celebrities melt down over Jimmy Kimmel return

But this has only resulted in the meltdown of a new set of celebrities. Megyn Kelly posted on X, “Must be nice to be a leftist. ‘Cancellation’ lasts 5 nights and you’re right back under klieg lights. On the right, you’re underground.”

Conservative podcast host Matt Walsh joined the trend, posting, “Kimmel’s show was put on pause for like 3 days and yet leftists will look us dead in the eyes and tell us that this was a greater attack on free speech than shooting and killing Charlie Kirk.”
