Taylor Swift’s dad Scott made millions from Scooter Braun's purchase of Big Machine, claims documentary
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: A shocking revelation has been made about Taylor Swift’s father, Scott Swift, and the feud the pop sensation had with Scooter Braun when he bought Big Machine Records, including Swift's masters, in 2019, from Scott Borchetta.
At the time, the ‘Cruel Summer’ singer had accused Braun of being a “bully”. In a Tumblr post, as reported by Forbes, she had said, “When I left my masters in Scott’s hands, I made peace with the fact that eventually he would sell them. Never in my worst nightmares did I imagine the buyer would be Scooter.”
“Any time Scott Borchetta has heard the words ‘Scooter Braun’ escape my lips, it was when I was either crying or trying not to. He knew what he was doing; they both did. Controlling a woman who didn’t want to be associated with them. In perpetuity. That means forever,” she added.
Taylor Swift’s dad Scott made millions from sale of Big Machine
However, a two-part documentary ‘Taylor Swift vs Scooter Braun: Bad Blood’ released on June 21, disclosed that Swift’s father Scott knew about the purchase.
Journalist and author Zing Tsjeng said, as reported by The Mirror, “What was less reported at the time that she signed to Big Machine is that her dad also purchased a stake in Big Machine.”
“So he purchased a reported 3% stake for the cost of something around $120,000 which meant that Taylor’s dad was also involved in the running of Big Machine as a minority shareholder,” Tsjeng asserted.
Besides, Neama Rahmani, a legal analyst and author, stated, “What’s interesting is that it's revealed that Scott Swift made $15.1 million when Big Machine was sold to Scooter Braun.”
“This adds a new dimension and people ask how could it be possible that Taylor didn’t know what was happening when her father was a shareholder of the Big Machine?” the lawyer added.

“None of these men will ever be able to take away from Taylor’s legacy as a songwriter, singer, director, philanthropist, and advocate for artists’ rights,” it added.

I’m watching rn, and all I’m getting from it is that they tried to pull one over Taylor and she outsmarted every man in the boardroom and they’re disgruntled about it
