Taylor Swift’s pals urge her to separate brand from Travis Kelce amid growing engagement chatter: Report

KANSAS CITY, MISSOURI: Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s whirlwind romance may be hitting its first rough patch.
Despite engagement rumors swirling around the couple, insiders claim Swift is being advised to keep her distance for the sake of her career and reputation, Radar Online reported.
Is Taylor Swift being advised to cut ties with Travis Kelce?

According to sources, the pop superstar’s team is urging her to separate her brand from Travis Kelce after she was loudly booed by sections of the Super Bowl LIX crowd on February 9.
Meanwhile, some Kansas City Chiefs fans are blaming Kelce’s relationship with Swift for his underwhelming performance in the team’s recent loss to the Philadelphia Eagles. The Eagles demolished the Chiefs 40-22 to secure the Super Bowl championship.
A source close to the couple spilled, "Up until now, Taylor and Travis have been the ultimate power couple, shining together in the limelight but whispers are swirling that maybe they’ve hit a bit of a snag. Apparently, her team is worried they’ve been overselling the relationship. Sources say it's been a tough pill for both of them to swallow, leading to some pressure to keep their work lives separate."

Kelce, 35, has been thriving in the spotlight alongside Swift, but some Chiefs supporters believe his focus should be on the game.
"Travis, who’s been basking in the glow of his romance with Taylor, has caught some backlash for not giving his full focus to the team. The vibe seems to be shifting, and insiders suggest both stars might need to safeguard their brands," the source continued.
"The incident with the crowd booing Taylor, which some fans are saying was just playful ribbing about her switch in loyalty. Remember, before she fell for Travis, she was all about the Philadelphia Eagles!" they stated.
"Now, her team's advising her to lay low for a while, and it’s got to sting a bit, like a sense of guilt she hasn’t earned. This whole situation is creating a weird tension between her and Travis, especially since this is their first real bump in the road," the source concluded.

Meanwhile, Swift is grappling with another controversy her unexpected involvement in a legal battle between longtime friends Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds and actor Justin Baldoni. Baldoni’s lawsuit referenced text messages from Lively, where she referred to Swift and Reynolds as her ‘dragons’ supporting her.
Swift reportedly feels blindsided and used as an “intimidation tactic” in a fight she had no intention of being involved in.
Travis Kelce makes major decision about NFL future

The Kansas City Chiefs tight end confirmed his return for another season, putting retirement talks on hold.
ESPN’s Pat McAfee shared the news on X (formerly Twitter), revealing that Kelce personally told him, "I'M COMING BACK FOR SURE. I'm gonna get in the best shape of my life this offseason... I've got a real bad taste in my mouth with how I played in that last game and I can't go out like that!!!!"

Kelce had previously hinted at hanging up his cleats, telling his brother Jason Kelce on their 'New Heights' podcast that the extra playoff games were taking a toll.
"The fact that we keep going to these AFC Championships and Super Bowls means I'm playing an extra three games more than everybody else in the entire league," he explained, adding, "That's a lot of wear and tear on your body."
