Teddi Mellencamp breaks down in tears as she gets staples removed from her head after brain tumor surgery

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Teddi Mellencamp gave her fans a glimpse into her emotional recovery process following brain surgery.
On February 26, the former 'Real Housewives of Beverly Hills' star posted a black-and-white Instagram Story showing her tearing up while getting the final staple removed from the back of her head.

Unexpected number of tumors removed
Surrounded by loved ones, Teddi Mellencamp received words of encouragement, including cheers of “You did it” and “Good job, Teddi.”
The reality star later treated herself to a facial from Candace Marino, founder of The LA Facialist, as part of her healing process.
Earlier that day, Mellencamp provided first detailed update on her surgery. She shared a brain scan photo, explaining that the doctors had removed more tumors than initially anticipated.
“I am so grateful for the incredible surgeons, doctors, and nurses who made my surgery a success and my recovery process comfortable,” she wrote.
“In full transparency, more tumors were removed than expected: four in total. This fight is not over, but that round has been won," she added.

She also expressed her deep gratitude for the unwavering support of her children, family, and close friends.
“The laughter, support, and patience of my kids, my family, and my closest friends is one gift with which words cannot properly express my gratitude,” she shared.
“As I move on to the next steps in my treatment, I just wanted to say thank you to everybody for the outpouring of love and prayers. I see them, and they’re definitely helping me stay strong,” Mellencamp added.
Teddi Mellencamp's diagnosis and initial hospitalization
Teddi Mellencamp was first hospitalized on February 12 after experiencing severe and debilitating headaches for several weeks.
She revealed on Instagram that the pain became unbearable, leading to emergency medical attention.

A subsequent CT scan and MRI uncovered multiple tumors that doctors estimated had been growing for at least six months.
Doctors initially planned to remove only a few tumors during surgery, but ultimately removed four.
The remaining tumors will be treated with radiation as part of her ongoing battle, according to People.
Teddi Mellencamp's long battle with health challenges
