LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Teddi Mellencamp has shared an emotional health update, revealing that doctors have discovered five additional tumors in her body.

This comes just weeks after she underwent emergency brain surgery to remove multiple tumors.

In an Instagram post on Thursday, March 6, Teddi Mellencamp disclosed that a recent CT scan detected two tumors in her lungs and three more in her brain.

The reality TV star has now begun immunotherapy and radiation treatment, according to Daily Mail.

“I have multiple tumors in my brain that weren’t able to be removed via surgery,” Mellencamp wrote, adding, “I also have two tumors in my lung.”

Despite the distressing news, she remains hopeful, stating that her doctors believe the treatments will be effective.

Teddi Mellencamp's ongoing cancer battle

Teddi Mellencamp, daughter of music legend John Cougar Mellencamp, has been battling melanoma since 2022.

On February 12, she was hospitalized due to severe pain, leading to scans that revealed multiple tumors growing for at least six months.

She underwent surgery, where four tumors were successfully removed, but others required further treatment.

“I am blessed to be surrounded by my children, family, friends, doctors, nurses, and surgeons who are doing everything possible to get me back into better health,” she expressed in a heartfelt post.

Teddi Mellencamp receives support from fellow reality stars

Teddi Mellencamp's announcement was met with an outpouring of support from friends and fellow reality TV stars.

Kyle Richards, Tamra Judge, Dorit Kemsley, and Shanna Moakler shared words of encouragement on social media.

Judge wrote, “You are gonna kick cancer’s a**! You are the strongest person I know,” while Richards recalled a lighthearted moment after Mellencamp’s surgery, marveling at her ability to remember all of Angelina Jolie’s children’s names despite her condition.

Teddi Mellencamp remains hopeful and positive

Despite her ongoing health struggles, Teddi Mellencamp is staying strong.

She recently posted about adjusting to hair loss, saying she enjoys her new short wig but not the bald spots.
