Teddi Mellencamp slammed for discussing 'cheating' on podcast just days before her affair was revealed

BEVERLY HILLS, CALIFORNIA: Teddi Mellencamp has come under fire for talking about "cheating" spouses just days before her alleged affair with her horse trainer came to the fore.

On Tuesday, November 12, the 'Real Housewives of Beverly Hills' star took to X (formerly Twitter) to share a clip from her ‘Popping Off’ podcast where she was having a chat with Emily Simpson.

During their conversation, Mellencamp was discussing Makenna Gibbons, a "swinging Mormon" TikTok star who previously claimed her husband, Brayden Rowley, cheated on her while telling his office she died. 

Just a day later, Page Six revealed that the Bravolebrity apparently cheated on her husband, Edwin Arroyave, with her horse trainer, Simon Schroeder, who was also married.

Teddi Mellencamp, who was reportedly a close friend of Simon Schroeder’s wife, Karli Postel, allegedly started her affair with her equestrian trainer in May.

A source spilled that the 43-year-old stepped out of her marriage with Schroeder multiple times, and there was a time when she was in Florida with the horse trainer when Postel was in California preparing to give birth to their second child.

According to the outlet, when Schroeder returned, his wife allegedly discovered intimate text messages between him and Mellencamp.

A source close to them shared with Daily Mail that “they confessed" when Postel confronted them.

The insider further revealed, "Teddi promised it would not happen again," before adding that "Karli didn’t tell Edwin when she found out" because "she was willing to give Simon another chance."

However, last month, the situation worsened when Postel came to know that the affair was ongoing and had become emotional, prompting her to notify Arroyave.

Amid escalating marital woes, Mellencamp filed for divorce on November 1 after 13 years of marriage, with multiple sources claiming that she filed before Arroyave to avoid getting accused of adultery.

Teddi Mellencamp's video did not sit well with the netizens who called her out for lack of accountability.

An individual expressed, "OMG hilarious! Your having this convo about cheating is quite laughable. The pot calling the kettle black! Hahaha."

"Ahhh, Teddi once again proving that you truly are and always have been completely unlikable at an epic level," wrote another person. 

"Should we be digging into your cheating? Your boyfriend was cheating with you while his wife was giving birth. You are a nasty, nasty POS," fumed a netizen. 

"Teddi… I just don’t think an accountability coach would behave this way. You continued the affair even after you promised you would stop then you file for divorce before Edwin so he can’t get you on infidelity. The the furthest thing from being accountable 👀," shared one more.
