Arroyave shared a touching photo on his Instagram Stories showing the trio on their way to visit Mellencamp, with a caption that read, “On our way to visit Mom,” tagging his daughters.

The photo captured a tender moment with Arroyave wrapping his arm around Slate while Bella rested her chin on his shoulder.

The visit comes as Mellencamp recovers from an extensive brain surgery to remove multiple tumors discovered after weeks of debilitating headaches.

Arroyave, who split from Mellencamp in November after 13 years of marriage, has remained by her side, taking on parenting duties while also providing emotional support.

He expressed his gratitude for the outpouring of love and prayers from fans, writing, “Our family is thankful to everybody for your continued prayers and well wishes."

"Teddi is beyond grateful for the outpouring of love while she continues to recover,” he added.

Teddi Mellencamp's sister calls her the 'strongest person' amid recovery

Teddi Mellencamp’s sister, Justice, also shared an emotional update, posting a photo of herself at Teddi’s bedside as the reality TV star slept, hooked up to IVs.

Justice called Teddi the “strongest person” she knew and thanked fans for their unwavering support during this trying time.

“Watching a loved one suffer is horrific,” she wrote, adding, “I’ve tried to get back to everyone who has reached out & I know Teddi will share her journey when she is ready. She is by far the strongest person I know.”

The recovery process has been challenging for Mellencamp who revealed last week that she would undergo emergency surgery to remove two tumors, with smaller ones to be treated with radiation later.

This comes just three years after her diagnosis with stage II melanoma, the most dangerous form of skin cancer, which has led to 16 procedures to date.

Edwin Arroyave has taken on parenting responsibilities for their three children, including four-year-old Dove and 10-year-old Cruz, sharing moments of their daily lives such as a family dinner at El Mariachi Grill in Encino, according to Daily Mail.

Despite their parents’ separation, the children appeared in good spirits, offering smiles during their time together.

Mellencamp’s health struggles have been ongoing, with her revealing that her brain tumors were discovered after months of severe headaches that became unbearable, leading to hospitalization.

Doctors believe the tumors have been growing for at least six months. With the initial surgery behind her, Mellencamp now faces further treatment through radiation.
