Texas man arrested for threatening to kill Erika Kirk at TUPSA event
SAN ANTONIO, TEXAS: A 26-year-old San Antonia man has been arrested for allegedly making online threats to kill Charlie Kirk’s widow, Erika Kirk, at an upcoming Turning Point USA event.
Jacob Wenske was hit with a third-degree felony charge for allegedly making terroristic threats that investigators say raised concerns about public safety and the risk of serious bodily injury.
The 37-year-old Erika became CEO of TPUSA after her husband Charlie was fatally shot at a Turning Point event in Utah last September.
Jacob Wenske threatened to bomb Erika’s TPUSA event
An investigation into Wenske began after San Antonio law enforcement identified a series of disturbing comments allegedly made by him against the 37-year-old widow on social media.
“I know exactly where to bomb,” he allegedly wrote under a local newspaper’s Facebook post promoting the TPUSA Women’s Leadership Summit scheduled for June, which features Kirk as a keynote speaker.
In a separate post within the same thread, Wenske wrote, "I can’t wait to be the valet for her escort," authorities said, according to a report from KSAT-TV.
The investigation revealed that Wenske was previously employed by a parking management company, where he served as a valet at hotels and special events.
The series of Wenske’s threats against Kirk and everyone involved in the conservative student nonprofit group continued in an email from January 2026.
“Death to Erika Kirk and every single speaker there!! America will live on without those scum on this earth. Every Christian nationalist shall perish in the bombing that will take place at every single Turning Point rally and event,” read the email attributed to Wenske, according to the arrest warrant.
Following the discovery of the threats, investigators tied them to Wenske, matching them to him through subscriber records, a linked email address, phone number information, and IP address data.
Wenske has been booked at the Bexar County jail with a bond reportedly set at a combined $120,000.
Erika Kirk canceled Turning Point USA event over threats
The wave of vile death threats has been targeting Erika since she took up the role of TPUSA CEO after her husband’s death.
She previously withdrew from an April Turning Point USA event featuring US Vice President JD Vance due to threats on her life.
"I know that she did get some threats," Vance told an audience of University of Georgia students in Athens, Georgia.
"I was a little worried that we were going to have to cancel the event because Erika was not going to come, and she was very worried about it."
"People were doxxing her travel location and trying to track her arrival and departure, I’m told, and there were multiple direct threats against Erika specifically. This ultimately led to her security’s assessment that they couldn’t guarantee her safety,” White House Correspondent Mary Margaret Olohan said of the same event.
