Anne Hathaway spoke about her sobriety on ‘The Ellen DeGeneres Show’
However, this was not the first time, Hathaway spoke about quitting alcohol.
In 2019, ‘The Princess Diaries’ actress revealed on ‘The Ellen DeGeneres Show’, as reported by Us Weekly, “I quit drinking back in October, for 18 years. I’m gonna stop drinking while my son’s living in my house.”
“I don’t totally love the way I [drink] and he’s getting to an age where he really does need me all the time in the mornings,” Hathaway said as she went on to recall an incident where she went to drop her son to school.
“I was hungover and that was enough for me. I didn’t love that one,” she added despite being not on the driver’s seat.
Additionally, Hathaway told Vanity Fair in March 2024, “I knew deep down it wasn’t for me and it just felt so extreme to have to say, ‘But none?’ But none.”
“If you’re allergic to something or have an anaphylactic reaction to something, you don’t argue with it. So I stopped arguing with it,” she concluded.
