Taylor Swift's pal Jack Antonoff backed by Swifties as he defends her amid scrutiny over her songwriting
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Swifties have lent their support and collective strength to record producer Jack Antonoff as he slammed critics for questioning pop icon Taylor Swift's songwriting abilities.
Swift's friendship circle is considered one of the most elite and strong unions in the music industry, and proving it so, Antonoff has come forward to stand up for his longtime friend.
Antonoff sparked gossip on social media when he appeared on 'Late Night with Seth Meyers' in December 2023, discussing celebrity lookalikes and his collaborations.
Dishing out his thoughts on his work with Taylor Swift and Lana Del Rey on their albums, Antonoff asserted he is immensely proud of the two singers for making their mark in the industry with the type of music they release.
On the other hand, the 'Wildest Dreams' singer once again achieved an indirect milestone, as an NFL insider recently spoke about the impact Swift and her boyfriend, Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce's romance has had on the league.
The insider attributed the monumental increase in the salary caps at the NFL to $255.4 million to Swift and Kelce's magic that brought in immense media revenue.

Jack Antonoff defends Taylor Swift's songwriting
Antonoff recently had an interview with the Los Angeles Times where he couldn't help but praise Swift's incredible songwriting skills.
He strongly defended her against criticism, especially recounting about his 2022 banter with Damon Albarn, who suggested in an interview with the Times that Swift doesn't write her own songs. This didn't sit well with Antonoff at all.
Antonoff responded to Albarn's comments on social media, expressing surprise that Albarn would assert knowledge about Taylor Swift's songwriting process without ever having met her or been to his studio. Antonoff seemed baffled by Albarn's claims and labeled him a "herb."
i’ve never met damon albarn and he’s never been to my studio but apparently he knows more than the rest of us about all those songs taylor writes and brings in. herb.

According to the Los Angeles Times, Antonoff made it clear that he takes any criticism of Swift personally, stating, "I’m a little b**ch sometimes. But you come after my friend Taylor, you’re toast to me."

Antonoff compared questioning Swift's songwriting abilities to "challenging someone’s faith in God. You just don’t go there." He and Swift have been collaborating since 2012, according to People Magazine.
