WASHINGTON, DC: Far-right Republican Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene, in her latest post on X, took a dig at President Joe Biden demanding the impeachment of Secretary of Homeland Security Alejandro Mayorkas amid the thousands of migrants making their way through Mexico to enter the United States.

On Wednesday, December 27, the Georgia lawmaker reposted a video shared by former Texas Congresswoman Mayra Flores. The footage showed a massive group of people walking along the road carrying placards, banners, and luggage.

Greene wrote, "Caravan on its way is growing in size approaching 15,000! Biden admin is the best business partner the cartels have ever had. The Biden admin border policies are treasonous and have created the worst national security crisis in history! Impeach Mayorkas!"

Greene, a staunch Trump ally, has been a strong critic of Biden's border policy, accusing the administration of "legalizing human trafficking" and claiming the President "guilty of treason" amid the migrant encounters reached 250K in December alone. On another occasion, she labeled the ongoing problem a "constitutional crisis."

Thousand of migrants move through Mexico to enter the US

Amid Secretary of State Antony Blinken and Homeland Security Chief Alejandro Mayorkas's visit to Mexico to meet with President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador, a massive group, including migrants and asylum seekers, is moving through the Mexican state of Chiapas, aiming to enter the US through its southern border, reported Reuters.

The latest update from NBC News says the group contains 7,500 people from 24 countries. Luis García Villagran, an organizer of the migrant Caravan and activist, told the outlet about the massive crowd traveling with the caravan, "Those of us looking for a new dream, those of us that want to work, those of us who want to move forward in life."

As the country is preparing to start the state primaries and caucuses for the 2024 presidential election, the Republicans have weaponized the border crisis against the Biden administration and Democrats, accusing them of having an open border policy.

Dominating among the GOP contenders, former President Trump has also used anti-immigrant rhetoric multiple times, calling the illegal immigrants "poisoning the blood" of America and would put a stop to it if elected in 2024 by being a "dictator" for a day.

Joining Trump, GOP lawmaker Matt Gaetz also threatened Biden to "shut down the government" if the borders are not closed.

Internet criticizes Marjorie Taylor Greene

Netizens are outraged at Greene for putting all the blame on the Biden administration for the current crisis. Questioning if she, as a Representative, has done anything to solve the issue, they blamed her for using it as an election weapon.

One user remarked, "That’s your job. What are Republicans waiting for? You want your voters to come and do it for you?"

Another user said, "Do something besides tweet."

"Which law have you propose to fix the Border issue? What was Trump’s solution from 2018-2020?" a user questioned Greene.

"Maybe you guys should comeback from winter break and legislate. Idk just a thought," read another reaction while another one responded to the post, saying," Maybe if the Republicans would stop broadcasting to the world that the border is open."

"I knew it the caravans are back. The Republicans always use the caravans as a fear tactic to scare the base. It’s like clockwork every election," remarked one user.

Another one added, "Fact Checking... CONCLUSION: Marjorie Taylor Greene appears to think that Mayorkas is traveling below the border and organizing these caravans, therefore he needs to be impeached. Yep, that's Marjorie Taylor Greene, folks!"
