'The Bachelorette' star Rachel Lindsay hinted at marital issues before her split from Bryan Abasolo
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: 'The Bachelorette' couple Rachel Lindsay and Bryan Abasolo seemed to have made some insinuations about marital issues before they ended their marriage.
The 38-year-old former 'Bachelorette' star was upfront about how, after four years of marriage, she and the 43-year-old chiropractor were very different people.
On Tuesday, January 2, Us Weekly reported that Abasolo had filed to divorce Lindsay and end their four-year marriage. Abasolo requested spousal support and declared New Year's Eve as their date of separation.

Rachel Lindsay and Bryan Abasolo were living two 'totally different lives'
Lindsay, however, made hints in a December 2023 appearance on Nick Vial's podcast that she and the chiropractor were "in two totally different places" before their split, as they talked about how private they preferred to keep their relationship.
"I was just [like], ‘I want to keep this for ourselves’ and, you know, marriage has ups and downs, but you never know when we’re good or when we’re not because we never put it out there," she said at the time.
"I kind of want to keep it that way, so when I want to share something, I do."
Lindsay further explained about Abasolo, "Bryan is a sole practitioner [and] he leaves the house at 8. He comes home at 9 o’clock, 9.30 [at night] sometimes. It’s just him by himself."
"Me, especially now that I’m not doing Extra, I have a lot more free time … and then I’m back in hustle mode trying to get a second job, so I go to events. So, we’re just in two totally different places," she further elaborated.
The attorney further added, "There’s not a lot of time to take pictures of each other and show what we’re doing because we’re in the bed or that kind of thing," as per OK! Magazine.

Signs that Bryan Abasolo and Rachel Lindsay were about to split
While enjoying New Year's Eve, Lindsay made hints about the difficulties she had faced in 2023. "Definitely one of the hardest years of my life, but choosing to focus on grateful moments and carrying that energy into 2024," she wrote as the caption for an Instagram video featuring her trips with her friends.
Another intriguing clue came on January 1 when Lindsay posted a selfie from the gym to her Instagram stories with the caption, "New Year's Day workout....Sweating out everything from 2023."
A list of 2023 teachings that struck a chord with Lindsay which she posted in a later story were, "People will show you who they are. Always. Believe them," "If it’s forced it will probably fail," "It’s okay to outgrow people, places, and things," and "Go where you are celebrated."
In a long blog post from July 2022, she previously discussed why she hardly ever disclosed details of her personal life on social media.
Lindsay informed the viewers at the time, "Let me be frank, Bryan is none of your business. I am joking … well, half joking."

The 43-year-old chiropractor listed "irreconcilable differences" as the reason for the split from Rachel and stated that their separation was effective on Sunday, December 31, 2023.
Abasolo announced his split with Rachel on Instagram, writing, "If you've been following me for a while, you know I don't like to put my personal affairs on social media and like to keep a safe space for our family."
He added, "Many of you know me as a chiropractor, and also as a husband, my proudest role so far."
He continued by admitting that they made a "difficult decision" to divorce and that they are prepared to "start anew."
Abasolo added, "My parents have been married forever and I'm a family man, but sometimes loving yourself and your partner means you must let go."
