'The sweetest': Internet wants a collab as G Flip gushes about Taylor Swift over VIP invite to Eras Tour
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: G Flip recently opened up about receiving an invite from pop sensation Taylor Swift for one of her Eras Tour dates in Melbourne during an interview with Extra .
The 29-year-old singer and performer recorded a cover of Swift's 'Cruel Summer' earlier this year, and the 34-year-old singer subsequently gave the drummer VIP access to her Melbourne stop on the Eras Tour. This part of Swift's tour is the subject of a concert film now streaming on Disney+.
What did G Flip say about Taylor Swift?
The Australian songwriter and instrumentalist said that although they and their spouse Chrishell Stause "thought that [Swift] might have hated" their cover, they were glad to have garnered a new fan.
G Flip, whose real name is Georgia Claire Flipo, said during the interview, "I didn't expect her to actually see it. It was the best day ever. I woke up and cried of happiness."

The performer identifies themself as non-binary and uses they/them pronouns. In the interview they went on to gush praise for the 'False God' singer.
"I'm such a big fan of Taylor Swift and all her work and her as a songwriter and performer, like, she's absolutely amazing," they said.

G Flip continued by saying that they were appreciative of the invitation to the event even though they had never met the Grammy Award-winning artist.
"The show is one of the best productions I've ever seen in my life, and I was lucky enough that Taylor invited me to sit in the friends and family area in Melbourne. I don't know [her], never met, but I was very flattered," they stated.
The drummer was also able to see one of Swift's shows at the SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles, along with Stause.The 42-year-old reality television personality described the show as 'so fun' and added, "We had the best time."

The 'Selling Sunset' actor and G Flip first crossed paths in 2021, but the latter did not reveal that they were actually dating until the following year.
