'The've become very close': Julia Roberts sparks friendship with 'Long Island Medium' star Theresa Caputo

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Hollywood heartthrob Julia Roberts has reportedly become good friends with ‘Long Island Medium’s eponymous medium Theresa Caputo. 

Recently, they created ripples as Caputo arrived at a red carpet event as a guest of the ‘Pretty Woman’ star.

As per an insider, "Julia has a deep fascination with Theresa's spiritual charms," before adding, "They share the same publicist and have become very close," per RadarOnline. 

The sources further claimed that the friendship might facilitate personal benefits for the TV medium, as they claimed, "Besides, hanging with Julia is a good look for Theresa."

The source further dished out that Caputo, who got a breakthrough on TV through TLC’s show ‘Long Island Medium’ which ran from 2011 to 2019, is hoping for a better career.

The source added, "She's hoping rubbing elbows with an A-lister might help her career — but Tinseltown meanies snicker Theresa doesn't have a ghost of a chance!"

Theresa Caputo launches new show at Lifetime

Meanwhile, Caputo - who has made a living of being a medium and connecting people with their dead loved ones - has launched a new show on Lifetime.

In September 2023, Caputo released an extended trailer for ‘Theresa Caputo: Raising Spirits’ which is scheduled to premiere in 2024.

It will be a 20-part series and will follow Caputo continuing with her medium sessions. She is scheduled to host celebrities as well in this series. Apart from that, the upcoming show will chronicle her journey as she navigates life through her divorce and becoming a grandmother. 

She said during that time, “It is an honor to help others reunite with loved ones who’ve passed and help so many people find closure while restoring their faith.”

Caputo added, “I am thrilled to have the opportunity to share so many stories on Lifetime and excited to explore this new era with devoted fans and new audiences alike,” per Deadline.

Theresa Caputo's goal as a medium is to make people 'believe in an afterlife'

Julia Roberts is not the only Hollywood A-lister with whom Caputo has a close connection. In October 2023, Theresa Caputo appeared on The Drew Barrymore Show' where she opened up about her goal as a psychic medium.

She said during the appearance, “One of the things that I want people to know [is] to believe in an afterlife. To believe that you still have that connection with your own departed loved ones."

Caputo continued, “What I learned is that unfortunately, no matter who we lose or how we die, we’re left with some negative emotions," per Decider.

“Maybe sometimes even a burden or a guilt that doesn’t give us the ability to heal. So the work that I do is about healing. It’s about Spirit giving us what we need, not what we want,” added Caputo.

The episode went on to become an emotional roller coaster for Barrymore who too opened about her supernatural experiences.
