'They hate women': Outrage as WWE's Chelsea Green kicked out of NY's Plaza hotel, mistaken for an escort
NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Chelsea Green, a prominent figure in the world of WWE, recently shared a troubling experience she encountered during her stay at a New York City hotel, reported by TMZ.
The former Women's Tag Team Champion alleges that she was unfairly expelled from The Plaza hotel and wrongfully accused of being an escort by the hotel staff.
Chelsea Green of WWE claims being expelled from hotel over misunderstanding
Green recounted the incident, which took place while she was in town for 'Monday Night Raw,' on her social media accounts.
According to her, she and a friend attempted to visit The Plaza's Champagne Bar around 5:45 pm on Tuesday to enjoy a drink before attending a Broadway show. Despite the bar's public accessibility, they were initially denied entry because they were not hotel guests.
Green said a patron witnessed the entire incident and invited them into the bar. Staffers went ballistic after they walked in, screaming something like, "Get back here. We aren't playing your games. We know what you're doing here."
Green expressed frustration over the encounter, stating that she was "pissed" and "embarrassed" by the ordeal, prompting her to briefly leave the area before returning to address the issue with the hotel's front desk.
Even after attempting to speak with a manager, she claims that she was met with dismissiveness, and the same security guards who confronted her initially stood nearby, seemingly mocking her distress.
Ultimately, Green and her friend were escorted out of the hotel by security guards who remained by their side until they left the premises.
Despite the distressing experience, Green remains hopeful that the hotel will review surveillance footage and acknowledge that she did nothing wrong. She awaits an apology from the hotel for the unjust treatment she endured.
