LONDON, UK: In an interview with The Times UK, iconic musician Jon Bon Jovi shared his excitement about his son Jake Bongiovi's engagement to actress Millie Bobby Brown.

Bon Jovi emphasized the strong work ethic he observed in Brown, noting that she and Jake, 21, would navigate their journey together with the support of their families. “I’ve gotten to know her in the last year, she works really hard, and she and Jake will grow together in their own way," Bon Jovi said.

"It is an accelerated version of what I went through 40 years ago and I think, with the support of family around them, they’re gonna be great together.” Drawing parallels to his own experience, Bon Jovi reflected on his relationship with his wife Dorothea Bongiovi, whom he met during high school.

"She sat next to me in history class,” he said of Dorothea. "We’re from the same place, we’re the same age, and she was with me when I had less than zero, so we went on the journey together."

While Bon Jovi and Dorothea took their time to build their relationship, he acknowledged the swifter pace at which Brown and Jake's romance has unfolded. Despite the differences in their journeys, Bon Jovi expressed confidence in the young couple's ability to thrive together.

Brown, 20, and Jake first sparked romance rumors in June 2021 and announced their engagement in April 2023. Their relationship has garnered attention for its apparent strength and mutual affection. In March, Brown celebrated their three-year anniversary on her Instagram Stories, sharing a playful photo of the couple cuddling and expressing her love for her "best friend."

Millie Bobby Brown's upcoming wedding to Jake Bongiovi, son of rock legend Jon Bon Jovi, is set to be officiated by an unexpected but familiar face from the 'Stranger Things' cast. Actor Matthew Modine, known for his role as Dr Martin Brenner in the hit Netflix series, revealed in an interview with Access Daily that he will be officiating the ceremony.

Modine shared that Brown, who portrays Eleven in 'Stranger Things', approached him with the idea, and Bongiovi agreed. Having already penned the wedding vows, Modine expressed joy at the opportunity to join the couple in matrimony.

"I have one of those licenses to get people married, and Millie thought it'd be great, and then Jake said it would be a great idea," Modine said. He added that the couple "loved what I wrote for them to join hands and to become husband and wife".

Despite having officiated only one wedding previously, the 65-year-old actor described it as a beautiful experience and expressed his enthusiasm for the upcoming event.

Modine said he had only officiated one wedding ceremony before, but it was "such a beautiful thing to be able to join two people in holy matrimony."

Brown, 20, rose to prominence as a child star on 'Stranger Things', with the forthcoming fifth season marking the conclusion of the acclaimed series. Meanwhile, Bongiovi, 21, has recently embarked on his own acting career, landing roles in films like 'Rockbottom.'
