WASHINGTON,DC: Laura Loomer, on Wednesday, August 19 offered a provocative explanation for the sudden scrutiny surrounding Natalie Harp, claiming the attacks on President Donald Trump’s longtime aide may be coming from people working inside the White House itself.

Loomer accused unnamed colleagues of leaking damaging stories because of “professional jealousy,” suggesting someone in Trump’s orbit could be interested in Harp’s position.

Her remarks add another layer to a controversy that began with a Democratic senator publicly highlighting Harp’s proximity to the president.

Loomer points the finger at Trump’s own circle

Loomer did not name the person she believes is responsible. Instead, she directed attention toward the people who work alongside Harp.

“Make no mistake,” Loomer wrote on X, arguing that the negative stories about Harp are “coming from inside the West Wing.”

Loomer questioned how journalists could know the inside details unless people working around the president were providing information.

Loomer then offered her theory.

Someone inside the administration, she suggested, could be motivated by professional jealousy and may want Harp’s job.

She also criticized what she described as a persistent problem of leaks inside the administration, arguing that some people close to Trump are more concerned about their own ambitions than maintaining loyalty to the president.

“There are way too many leakers in the WH,” Loomer wrote.

She linked the situation to another criticism she has repeatedly made about Trump's administration: the importance of vetting people before giving them positions of influence.

Her post stopped short of identifying a specific leaker or providing evidence establishing who, if anyone, supplied reporters with information about Harp.

Natalie Harp firestorm raises eyebrows

The latest controversy began Sunday, August 16, when Democratic Sen. Jon Ossoff of Georgia referenced Natalie Harp during a speech criticizing President Donald Trump’s priorities.

While discussing the lengthy deployment of the USS Abraham Lincoln, Ossoff contrasted the sailors’ situation with several activities involving the president, including work on the White House ballroom and plans to “travel with Natalie.”

The remark brought renewed attention to Harp, a Trump administration aide who has become a familiar figure around the president.

Harp serves as Trump’s executive assistant and special assistant to the president and is known for carrying a portable printer, earning her the nickname 'the human printer'.

She uses it to provide Trump with printed news articles, social-media posts and other material.

Harp previously drew attention after publicly discussing her battle with Stage 2 bone cancer and crediting Trump’s Right to Try law with helping her pursue experimental treatment.

She later became part of Trump’s campaign and White House team.
