Trump unveils new gold West Wing signage in latest White House renovation
WASHINGTON, DC: President Donald Trump gave supporters a fresh look at his ongoing White House makeover on Wednesday, July 8, when he shared a photo showcasing new gold signage outside the West Wing.
The image, posted on Truth Social, highlighted one of the latest additions to the White House grounds - a gilded-script sign identifying the West Wing. Trump also pointed to other upgrades around the area, including renovated walls, maple trees and new landscaping.
"The newly revamped West Wing of the White House, including signage and renovated walls, maple trees, and plantings!" Trump wrote alongside the image.

Donald Trump showcases latest White House renovation project
The newly revealed sign is the latest example of Trump's preference for gold accents, a design choice that has become increasingly visible throughout his second term.
The photograph showed the walkway leading to the West Wing, now marked by the gold-script signage.
While the post focused on landscaping and structural improvements, the gold lettering quickly became the main talking point.
The addition follows several other gold-themed touches that Trump has introduced around the White House.
From decorative elements in the Oval Office to personalized displays, the president has continued incorporating a style long associated with his business properties.
The social media post offered one of the clearest looks yet at how the White House grounds are changing under Trump's direction.
Donald Trump's fascination with gold has deep roots
Trump's fondness for gold has long been part of his public image.
According to White House correspondents Maggie Haberman and Jonathan Swan in their book Regime Change: Inside the Imperial Presidency of Donald Trump, the president's attraction to gold dates back decades.
"Trump's first wife, Ivana, the vice president of interior design at his company, had had a penchant for gilding everything," the authors wrote.
"It was Ivana who was said to have first encouraged the gold obsession that soon became a hallmark of her husband's properties."
That design preference eventually became one of the defining features of many Trump-branded buildings and properties.
Now, elements of that same aesthetic are increasingly appearing at the White House.
Other Trump renovation projects have drawn attention
The West Wing signage is only one part of a larger series of renovation efforts undertaken during Trump's second term.
Earlier this week, Trump joked that he planned to keep the golden opening bell from the New York Stock Exchange after ringing it to mark the first trading day for Trump Accounts.
"I'm not giving it back," he said.
At the same time, other White House-related projects have generated headlines.
One of the most closely watched has been the renovation of the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool.
The project, which reportedly cost more than $16 million, faced setbacks after the pool was refilled following its repainting in what Trump described as "American Flag Blue."
Reports later noted algae issues and paint flakes appearing in the basin.
Trump has repeatedly claimed that vandals damaged the pool by cutting its surface with "razor blades." He has also said multiple arrests have been made in connection with the alleged vandalism.
