LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Singer Jessica Simpson has reportedly worried her close friends with her withdrawn demeanor. Despite being sober since 2017, the 43-year-old singer-turned-fashion magnate nevertheless causes concern within her close circle due to her strange behavior.

Simpson's latest behavioral update comes after the pop diva released a set of photos on March 1 where she did not wear her wedding ring and her fans began to worry again if Simpson and her husband, Eric Johnson were going through a rough patch in their marriage.

Sources contend Jessica Simpson remains 'holed up' in her house '95 percent of her time'

An insider told the National Enquirer, "The people closest to her are very worried, even if they're afraid to say it to her face," per Radar Online.

The source clarified, "Jessica was not on point during her minimal public appearances. She doesn't leave the house a lot and her look is devolving into Real Housewives territory like she's constantly getting cosmetic surgery touch-ups."

Additionally, a source claimed that Simpson's "spaced-out attitude" is the reason behind her 10-year marriage to Eric Johnson appearing to be in jeopardy.

The source continued, "It's not flattering — and people are afraid this could all end in tragedy."

"It's worrying how she's turned her back on the spotlight for this weird new life where she spends 95 percent of her time holed up at home and seems really zonked out when she ventures out in public every few months," the insider added.

Jessica stated in a 2023 interview that she was thinking of relocating to Nashville to revitalize her singing career, but the idea never materialized.

The source said, "She can still book big venues, but she only has a small catalog of hit songs, and recording new music hasn't been a priority."

"I blame her reps for not putting a plan into action — they've let her drift because she doesn't 'need' to work."

"But anybody who knows Jessica knows she's happiest when she has a lot going on and that's the opposite of where she is right now," the insider revealed.

Jessica Simpson and Eric Johnson dispel split rumors with family vacation

According to previous reports, Jessica Simpson and her husband Eric Johnson were leading "separate lives," and as a result, their marriage was going through a difficult period.

However, Simpson and Johnson, 44, took their children, Maxwell "Maxi" Drew, 11, Ace Knute, 10, and Birdie Mae, 5, on an amazing spring break trip to Cabo San Lucas — dispelling several split rumors.

Tina Simpson, Jessica's mother, was also traveling with them, per Us Weekly.

The Jessica Simpson Collection designer appeared single in an orange swimsuit in her carousel of images. Johnson was seen playing with their eldest child, Maxi, in her subsequent shot.

"2024 Spring Breakin’ with the fam was EPIC! Thank you @tinasimpsonofficial for giving these kiddos memorable moments in Cabo that they will hold close to their precious hearts and cherish for a lifetime!" Simpson wrote in the caption of Monday, April 8, Instagram post.

"Thank you @suncabovacations for always bringin’ the CHA CHA CHA to the perfectly exquisite vacation spots #LaDatcha," Simpson continued in another post.

The family spent precious time by the ocean's azure water, went fishing, and took boat trips over the vacation. It seemed like the ideal week for rest and leisure, with schools out for the Easter break.

Simpson and Johnson initially met in May 2010 at what the actress described as a chance meeting. Following a half-year relationship, the couple became engaged and tied the knot in 2014.
