LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Gracie McGraw, daughter of country music legends Tim McGraw and Faith Hill, publicly came out as queer for the first time.

The 28-year-old singer and eldest daughter of the pair shared the news on her Instagram Stories on Monday, June 2, marking a significant moment in her journey of self-expression.

While Gracie’s announcement has sparked support online, her famous parents have yet to comment on her revelation.

Gracie McGraw, daughter of country music icons Tim McGraw and Faith Hill, took to Instagram on June 2 to share her identity with her 105,000 followers. In a Story post, the 28-year-old singer wrote, “Everyone get more gay now!!!” celebrating the start of Pride Month with enthusiasm.

She also added in the same, “Happy Freaking Pride,” adding, “I love being queer.” But Gracie didn’t stop there. On June 3, she returned with a more detailed post addressing media coverage of her announcement.

“Hello all!! It has come to my attention that some tabloids have taken an Instagram I posted yesterday and have used it as click bait saying I've 'come out,'” she began.

Setting the record straight, Gracie continued, “Let me be very clear here... I've been an out and proud queer, bisexual woman and I wouldn't have it any other way.”

She reaffirmed her longstanding support for the LGBTQIA+ community, writing, “I have and will always be very vocal about my support of LGBTQIA+ rights and the community, but thank you so much to these tabloids for shedding light that it's pride month!!!"

Gracie ended her message with a heartfelt note to others in the LGBTQIA+ community: “So many people out there don't have the support, love or understanding from their families when it comes to their sexuality or gender identity, but just know that there is a beautiful community out there that loves you and cares about and for you!!. Check on your people and keep safe out there. Give love to each other, GM."

On the following slide, Gracie reshared a post from drag queen Marti Gould Cummings, which stated: “Pride began as a riot led by Black and Brown trans activists.” She captioned the Instagram story by saying, "While you are here. Let's not forget how pride began."

Gracie McGraw's parents recently showed strong public support for their daughter

While singer Gracie McGraw recently shared her identity as queer with the world, her parents — country music superstars Tim McGraw and Faith Hill — have not yet made any public statements in response.

However, this isn’t the first time Faith has stood in solidarity with the LGBTQ+ community; she voiced her support for fellow country artist Chely Wright when Wright came out as gay in 2010.

Although the couple has remained silent on Gracie’s announcement, they’ve continued to show strong public support for their daughter in other ways. Most recently, they celebrated her performance debut at Carnegie Hall in 'The Great War & The Great Gatsby', a musical tribute set to air on PBS this upcoming Veterans Day.

Proud dad Tim McGraw took to social media to share his admiration, writing: “It was a beautifully done performance by all, along with so many moving moments of our country, our people, and the service of our men in the Great War......of course, our Gracie was fantastic!!!!!!"

Earlier, on May 5, Tim posted a heartfelt birthday message alongside a throwback photo of Gracie as a child. “Can’t believe this little bit turns 28 today! Happy birthday to our Gracie!” he wrote. “You are a light in this world, my sweet girl. So much heart, soul, respect, and yes LOADS of talent!!! We hope you have the best day ever and know that you are loved beyond measure! I love you, my little girl.”

In the same month, Tim opened up about his journey, crediting Faith Hill for turning his life around. In a candid conversation on Tracy Lawrence’s 'Road House' podcast, he revealed that marrying Hill kept him from spiraling out of control.

He also reflected on the profound impact fatherhood has had on him. “Having our daughters. It's life-changing. They make you a better person, and they certainly calm the demons in you," as per Daily Mail.

Tim and Faith share three daughters: Gracie, 28; Maggie, 26; and Audrey, 23.
