LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Political commentator Tim Pool has drawn attention online after explicitly speculating that President Donald Trump's reported instruction to declassify information related to UFOs and extraterrestrial life signals something far more serious - a potential US strike on Iran.

Pool went on to connect the alleged declassification order to broader geopolitical tensions and even the controversy surrounding Jeffrey Epstein on Friday, February 20.

Tim Pool links UFO disclosure to Iran conflict

In a livestream-style monologue on 'Timcast', Pool opened with a tongue-in-cheek remark before pivoting to a conspiratorial suggestion.

“Yesterday, President Donald Trump instructed the government to declassify and release all information pertaining to extraterrestrial life and UFOs. And my friends, this proves it once and for all that we're going to war with Iran and that Donald Trump is still trying to downplay the Epstein files,” he stated.

He quickly added, “Now, in all seriousness,” before arguing that any forthcoming statement may not confirm “actual nonhuman entities” but could instead involve disclosure of classified military technology.

Pool suggested that sightings of UFOs or drones could be tied to secret weapons programs operated by the US or its adversaries, saying that the public might simply be unaware of advanced defense projects already in development.

Tim Pool floats Epstein Files as Iran invasion distraction

Despite acknowledging that no official confirmation of alien life might be forthcoming, Pool advanced a theory that the timing of any UFO-related disclosure could serve as a distraction.

“So, the presumption is for most people that it's uh more so about we're going to war with Iran and the Epstein files have been largely embarrassing,” he said, before offering his own alternative narrative.

“I made a post where I said, ‘What if the Epstein files were the distraction as we were gearing up for a full scale invasion of Iran?’ And I actually think that makes more sense,” he said.

Pool claimed that he believes the “alien stuff is very much a distraction” and said he does not expect the government to confirm the existence of extraterrestrials.

Instead, he argued that escalating tensions with Iran are the more pressing issue.

In one of the more unusual segments of his commentary, Pool discussed military logistics, suggesting that any strike on Iran would require stealth bombers targeting anti-aircraft systems during a new moon phase to avoid visibility.

“So long as we are moving into a full moon phase, it will be too bright and too easy to spot stealth aircraft,” he said, calling the current period a potential “last opportunity” for such action.

There has been no official indication from the US government that a strike is imminent, and Pool did not cite evidence supporting the claim.

His comments represent a speculative interpretation of current events. There has been no official confirmation that any UFO-related declassification is connected to military planning, nor that such a plan exists.
