Timothee Chalamet 'wants to protect his relationship' with Kylie Jenner after Golden Globes kiss backlash
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Kylie Jenner and Timothee Chalamet are still together even though it was rumored that the pair had split. After the public display of affection at the 2024 Golden Globes, Chalamet and Jenner were not photographed in months until they were seen at an ice cream parlor over the weekend.
Recently, sources close to the ‘Dune 2’ actor shared with Daily Mail that the couple’s apparent disappearance from the public media was because of Chalamet’s intense desire “to protect his relationship with Kylie.”
Timothee Chalamet allegedly did not like the attention the pair received
Insiders shared during the interview that the ‘Wonka’ star was not comfortable with the excessive attention he received during the Golden Globes held in January 2024.
The tipster shared with the outlet per OK! Magazine, "Timothee didn't like all the attention he got from the Golden Globes, and the kiss took away attention for the real reason he was there.”
Referring to the back-to-back hits of the 28-year-old actor, the insider added, "His career is taking off and he wants to protect it and let it thrive based on his talent— not on who he is or isn’t dating.”
They further shared that the Golden Globe Award-winning star is not only thinking about his career but is also protective of his relationship with Kylie. They added, “He also wants to protect his relationship with Kylie.”
After the Kylie Cosmetics founder did not post anything about Chalamet on Valentine’s Day, the rumors started circulating about the couple’s split. Chalamet’s absence as Kylie’s date at the Vanity Fair Oscar Afterparty last week further fueled the rumor.
Nevertheless, after a long hiatus, the lovebirds were seen this week at an ice cream parlor wearing hoodies and masks as disguises, The Sun reports.
Kylie Jenner dodges questions about Timothee Chalamet
The couple’s break-up rumor was fueled by Kylie refusing to talk about Chalamet during a recent interview. When the mother-of-two was asked whether her style evolved because of Chalamet, she refused to comment on the speculations.
The Khy founder shared, "I don’t know how I feel about that," before adding, "I just don’t want to talk about personal things."
She, nevertheless, admitted that she’s been "stripping down a little bit" in her appearance. Kylie explained, "I don’t have this thick mane down to my butt, I don’t have lash extensions, I don’t have these long claws.”
