Tom Brady was not ready to divorce Gisele Bundchen fearing challenges of co-parenting, claims source
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Tom Brady was reportedly hesitant to divorce his former wife, Gisele Bundchen, as he was terrified of the way it would affect their children.
Brady and the model have two children together — Benjamin Rein and Vivian Lake. Additionally, he is the father of John "Jack" Edward Thomas, whom he shares with his ex-girlfriend, actress Bridget Moynahan.

The former football quarterback and Moynahan ended their relationship in 2007, and since then, they have been co-parenting their 16-year-old son, which reportedly hasn't been easy.
Now, with his recent divorce from Bundchen, Brady is concerned for the well-being of his younger children. According to a source cited by the Daily Mail, "Tom would actually agree that co-parenting hasn't been easy."
They continued, “There has been a lot of love lost in their relationship, and navigating through that and their careers and finding new love has not been easy. It is safe to say that Tom and Gisele never expected to break up.”
Tom Brady ‘never wanted to divorce’
The insider went on to explain, “He never wanted to divorce, especially since his relationship with Bridget ended, and dealing with that to get to a place of good co-parenting took some time. To do it all over again has been stressful.”
They also noted, “It is just a sad situation because family is so important to both of them and to not be a complete family sets many struggles moving forward."
“Like everything, they will get there, because they aren't getting back together, but Gisele and Tom have gone through a bunch of sadness to be where they are now, which is leaps and bounds better than it has been.”
The source indicated that both Brady and the 43-year-old Victoria's Secret angel "are both determined to make it work somehow," despite acknowledging that the situation is not "ideal."
“They both agree that the benefit of their kids is what matters and [Gisele] wasn't lying when she said they have good days and bad days. It is a process, especially in the public eye,” the tipster added.
Tom Brady and Gisele Bundchen share joint custody of their kids
This came after an insider shared in November last year, as reported by People, that Benjamin and Vivian will have "full access to both [parents], whenever they want.”
The insider also mentioned, “They can see whichever parent they want. They've got a schedule, but neither of them would prevent their kids from seeing the other parent. That's not who either of them are.”
“These kids won't be used as pawns. They're going to be loved and cherished by both parents,” the mole asserted.
