Tom Cruise seething over Brad Pitt’s ‘youthful’ Super Bowl look after he got roasted for ‘stretched’ face

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Tom Cruise has spent over 30 years trying to outshine Brad Pitt, but he’s apparently losing the battle to stay young—and it’s sending him into panic mode.
Insiders say this long-running rivalry started back in 1994 when the two starred in 'Interview With the Vampire'. But while Pitt seems to have moved on, Cruise is still very much keeping score.
The latest round was a Super Bowl face-off that left Cruise fuming.

Tom Cruise’s Super Bowl nightmare
Brad Pitt, 61, casually swooped in with a powerful commercial urging America to "huddle up", looking effortlessly suave and undeniably youthful.
"When we are bound by a common goal, we've reached heights, authored achievements, pushed progress, not alone, but together," he declared in the Super Bowl LIX ad, charming the masses.
Meanwhile, Cruise, 62, also had a Super Bowl moment. But instead of praise, he got roasted for his suspiciously tight and “stretched” face.
"Tom hated how Brad got all this fan praise for his youthful appearance in the Super Bowl ads while all he got was taunted for looking too plastic," an insider dished to Radar Online.
"It touched a real nerve. Tom prepped like crazy for the big day and knew they'd be going head to head, so to speak," the source continued. "He generally ignores rivals, but Pitt has always stuck in his craw as this self-appointed Hollywood golden boy. It irks him that Brad somehow managed to age better," they added.
Now, Cruise is reportedly "doing a ton of research" into Pitt’s skincare secrets. “He’s desperate to outsmart him and turn this around!" the insider spilled.

The feud that was never resolved
The bitter competition isn’t new. Way back when they filmed 'Interview With the Vampire', Brad Pitt openly admitted that working with Tom Cruise was a wake-up call—one that proved they were total opposites.
He once described the 'Mission: Impossible' star as “North Pole” while calling himself “South". And it seems the bad blood hasn’t cooled in three decades.
Last year, sources spilled to Radar Online that Cruise has never let go of the tension from that film set. "That’s the reason they haven’t worked together in 30 years," an insider revealed, while adding, "They play it down publicly, but it’s no secret they can’t stand each other."
And if that wasn’t enough, Cruise also threw shade at Pitt filming a massive project in the UK—Cruise’s adopted turf.
Tom Cruise isn't happy Brad Pitt is working with his 'Top Gun: Maverick' team
Apparently, Tom Cruise had major beef with the fact that Brad Pitt was working with producer Jerry Bruckheimer and director Joseph Kosinski—the same team behind 'Top Gun: Maverick.'
“There’s been all sorts of buzz about how Brad’s going to follow Tom’s success and bring in a billion dollars when this movie finally hits theaters next summer, and that has not gone over well with Tom," a source revealed last year.
Cruise, it seems, was convinced that Pitt is purposely stepping on his toes. "He’s convinced Oscar-winner Brad’s purposely stepping on his toes and trying to show him up," the tipster added.
Apparently, Cruise wasn't just stewing over Pitt’s success—he straight-up trashed his upcoming F1 movie.
“Tom’s been getting personal and saying petty things about Brad’s new movie. Knowing Brad, he’ll have plenty to say back," the insider spilled.
Pitt's Formula One racing movie 'F1' is coming to theaters in June. He stars in the movie as Sonny Hayes, a retired Formula One driver who suffered a terrible crash in his past. He is convinced to come out of retirement and train a rookie prodigy, played by Damson Idris, for the Apex Grand Prix race.
