Wildfire devastation in Los Angeles
The wildfires that erupted on January 7 were fueled by severe winds and dry conditions, creating a fast-moving inferno that forced tens of thousands to evacuate.
Among the worst-hit areas were Altadena, Malibu, Pasadena, and Pacific Palisades.

The Eaton and Palisades Fires were the most destructive, though numerous smaller blazes also posed ongoing threats throughout the month.
According to the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner, at least 29 fatalities have been reported as a result of the fires, as per People.
While containment efforts proved challenging, CAL FIRE confirmed on January 31 that the Palisades and Eaton wildfires had been fully contained, allowing residents to assess the damage and begin the recovery process.
