The multiple Academy Awards winner’s Los Angeles residence was under attack after thieves managed to enter inside by breaking glass, reportedly in broad daylight.
Alarms failed to stop robbery at Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson’s home
The incident at Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson’s home took place a few weeks ago and despite the alarm going off, robbers continued to enter the house, per TMZ.
Both Hanks and Wilson were out of town when the burglary occurred, fortunately, they couldn’t get into the main house.
It is still unknown if they managed to steal items as of now. According to police sources, it is believed that the robbery wasn’t targeted, and was among a string of robberies in the area.
No arrest has been made as the authorities continue to investigate the matter. The couple has been staying in their Pacific Palisades mansion for quite some time.
The property was bought in 2010 and is spread over 14,000 square feet for $26 million.
Recently, Kyle Richards’ eldest daughter, Farrah Brittany Aldjufrie, lost over $1 million worth of luxury items after thieves stole from her Hollywood pad.
Some of the other A-listers who are victims of recent burglaries, include Bhad Bhabie, Sarah Hyland, and Marlon Wayans.
