NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Conservative political commentator Tomi Lahren launched a blistering series of posts targeting Congress amid the ongoing DHS shutdown, accusing both Democrats and Republicans of incompetence and failure.

In three separate X posts made on Thursday, March 26, Lahren highlighted unpaid workers, travel chaos, and what she described as a complete collapse of leadership, directing sharp criticism at lawmakers from both sides.

Tomi Lahren blasts Democrats and Republicans

In her first post, Lahren directly called out lawmakers for the impact of the shutdown on ordinary Americans.

“It is so embarrassing that our members of Congress are allowing Americans to go without paychecks and others to wait in hours-long lines,” she wrote.

She then blamed both parties, saying Democrats “can’t divorce themselves from their illegal alien love affair” while Republicans “can’t negotiate their way out of a paper bag.” Her tone grew harsher as she added, “This is infuriating, but so much more, it’s pathetic.”

Lahren concluded the post with a sweeping condemnation, writing, “You are all an utter embarrassment to the office and to the American people who sent you there.”

In her second post, Lahren connected domestic frustrations to broader political messaging while referencing policy priorities involving Iran.

“Though I do agree with what the president and his administration are doing in Iran, it’s pretty hard to continue to convince the American people that what they should be concerned about is the promise of world peace,” she wrote.

She emphasized the contrast by pointing to travel disruptions, adding, “When we can’t even do basic travel in this country without waiting in hours-long lines, and when Americans who are working in TSA haven’t been paid for a month.”

Frustrated with her own travel experience, she stated, “When you can’t fly through the Houston airport without arriving five hours early for your flight, the messaging has broken down. Fix it.”

Tomi Lahren calls Congress 'leaderless'

Her third post escalated the criticism further, beginning with a blunt statement: “We have no leaders in Congress. None.”

She expressed anger over repeated shutdown crises, writing, “The fact that this set of incompetent fools have done this to us twice in the last 6 months is such an embarrassing indictment of who we elected. Both sides.”

Lahren again singled out Democrats, claiming they were “holding it and us hostage to send a message to their base that they love illegal aliens, for sure.”

However, she also turned her criticism toward Republicans, arguing they had failed to communicate effectively.

“BUT the simple fact that so many Americans don’t know this, and that Democrats are somehow winning this messaging battle, is an indictment on every single Republican in DC,” she wrote.

She ended with a final sharp rebuke, writing, “This is an utter and total embarrassment. You all should be embarrassed to show your face in public at this point.”
