WOODLAND HILLS, CALIFORNIA: Brittany Furlan, the wife of Motley Crue drummer Tommy Lee, is being celebrated as a hero.

The 38-year-old actress recently rescued one of their dogs from the jaws of a coyote that snuck into their backyard in broad daylight. 

Furlan shared the terrifying video on her Instagram, urging her fans to hug “your babies extra tight.”

Taking to her Instagram on Tuesday, September 23, Brittany Furlan - who is a comedian and internet personality herself - shared details of her ordeal.

She shared a video recorded on their Ring security camera in the backyard of their home in Woodland Hills, California, per New York Post.

In the video, the coyote is seen entering their backyard and lunging at their two dogs. The animal then dashed away after snatching the couple’s English cream long-haired miniature dachshund, Neena.

However, Furlan quickly sprang into action to rescue their small dog, chasing after the coyote shortly after the incident occurred around 1 pm.

In a typed statement accompanying the video, Furlan wrote, “I was letting the dogs out to pee when a coyote came and grabbed Neena in broad daylight.”

She added with a cautionary note, saying, “Please be very careful with your dogs. I’ve lived here for four years and I’ve never seen one coyote and then today this happened.” She concluded the note, saying, “They are desperate.”

Later in the video, as Furlan comes back into frame, Lee also appears. Furlan can be heard yelling to her husband, “A coyote grabbed Neena!”

In the accompanying caption, the 'Airplane Mode' actress provided an update on their dog, stating, “Neena is safe.”

She explained the rescue process, writing, “I climbed up the wall and grabbed her out of its mouth. Thank God she’s a little bit fat because he couldn’t make it over the wall with her.”

She also expressed that if it had been their other dog, “she would’ve been gone.”

Furlan continued, “This is in Broad daylight at 1 PM. They are getting more brazen and hungry. Please be safe.”

“I’m not even letting the dogs out anymore. This is ridiculous,” she concluded the post with a heartfelt message, “Hug your babies extra tight.”

Later, in her Instagram Stories, Furlan revealed that after their nightmarish day, their neighbors sent them a basket full of treats. In the accompanying footage, she showcased Neena happily munching on the goodies provided by their neighbors.

Furlan, who gained fame on the short-form video platform Vine, married Lee in 2019 after they met on the celebrity dating app Raya in 2017.

She frequently shares snapshots of their life and their dogs on her Instagram, where she has 2.2 million followers.
