Tori Spelling says she does not 'want to be with myself' as she weighs in on marrying again after divorce
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Tori Spelling opened up on her possible future marriage, a week after she filed for divorce from Dean McDermott.
After she ended 18 years of her marriage with her estranged husband, the 'Beverly Hills, 90210' star revealed on her podcast 'misSpelling' on April 8 that she remains open to the idea of tying the knot again with someone, reported People.
Tori Spelling says she would love to plan 'a wedding'
Hinting at the possibility of marrying again despite her recent divorce filing, Spelling said, "Oh, I do love planning a wedding."
"J Lo did it how many times? Four times? There you go. Sure. Elizabeth Taylor. How many times? Eight? Sure. Why not?" she said.
She shared that she finds companionship essential as she functions "better with people" around her and that she does not "want to be with myself."
"And people are like, 'Wait. That's just a lot. You should be happy with yourself alone.' I haven't been alone ... honestly, I still don't poop alone," she continued.
"Like, [my son] Beau still stands there and stares and talks to me, like, while I'm pooping. I haven't pooped, peed alone in 18 years. First it was Dean, then it was kids. I think I function better with people. Is that codependent? Yes. Cool. Redefine it," added Spelling who shares five children Beau Dean, seven, Finn Davey, 11, Hattie Margaret, 12, Stella Doreen, 15, and Liam Aaron McDermott, 17 with McDermott.
Tori Spelling says one must have 'love to create and keep creating the family'
The reality star further reflected on her evolving idea of relationships as she said she does not know if she believes "everyone should end up with the person they have kids with."
"I think while that is your human to create, it comes out of love. Obviously, you have to have so much love to create and keep creating the family," she shared.
"People are like, 'I've been married 50 years. I have kids, grandkids.' I'm like, 'How?' Like, I don't know how. I think I don't know. It's my belief now we have, like, two soulmates or two partners that we're supposed to have," she added.
"One for that chapter and one for our chapter where it becomes about us," she continued.
She then explained that life "goes from about us to about others to back to being about us again."
"And yeah, like any partner I have now, I'm sure I'll look at them if they've had kids and be like, 'Wow. I couldn't have had kids with you. Like, it would have just, like, ruined what we have,' " she added.
