Tracy Morgan confirms food poisoning as cause of health scare

The game was briefly paused for approximately ten minutes as officials ensured the area was cleaned and Morgan was properly assisted, according to Daily Mail.

The Knicks went on to secure a 116-95 victory.

On Tuesday, March 18, Morgan took to Instagram from his hospital bed, reassuring fans that he was recovering. “Thank you for all your concern! I’m doing ok now and doctors say it was food poisoning," he shared.

"Appreciate my MSG family for taking such good care of me and I need to shout out the crew that had to clean that up. Appreciate you!” Morgan wrote.

In his usual comedic style, he added, “More importantly, the Knicks are now 1-0 when I throw up on the court, so maybe I’ll have to break it out again in the playoffs.”

Tracy Morgan's medical history raises initial concerns

Tracy Morgan’s sudden illness sparked worry among fans, especially given his long medical history.

The comedian has been living with diabetes and underwent a kidney transplant in 2010. In 2014, he survived a near-fatal car accident that left him in a coma for eight days, according to Daily Mail.

Images shared by spectators showed Morgan looking visibly distressed as he was escorted out with a towel over his face.

Reports also suggested that he was seen with blood coming from his nose.

A representative for Madison Square Garden later told People magazine, “We hope Tracy feels better soon and look forward to seeing him back courtside.”
