NEW YORK: A shocking moment unfolded at Madison Square Garden on Monday, March 17, as comedian and diehard Knicks fan Tracy Morgan suddenly fell ill during the New York Knicks vs Miami Heat matchup.

The game was briefly halted as Morgan, visibly struggling, was taken out of the arena in a wheelchair while staff rushed to clean up his courtside seat, the New York Post reported.

Fans at the game first noticed something was wrong when Tracy Morgan began vomiting courtside. A widely shared photo on social media showed the '30 Rock' star hunched over, while MSG Networks broadcasters Kenny Albert and Walt "Clyde" Frazier sat nearby.

Another fan-captured video showed Morgan being wheeled out of the arena, a towel covering his face as concerned paramedics and security escorted him away.

One X (formerly Twitter) post claimed that Morgan had also been bleeding from his nose and "could barely stand up." The incident occurred in the third quarter, with ESPN’s broadcast capturing a Knicks towel boy alerting referees, prompting them to rush in and handle the cleanup.

Following the Knicks’ dominant 116-95 win over Miami, Knicks forward Josh Hart took a moment to acknowledge Morgan’s situation. “We hope everything is good with Tracy Morgan, avid lifetime Knicks fan, so prayers go out to him and his health and safety,” Hart said.

An MSG spokesperson stated to the outlet, “We hope Tracy feels better soon and look forward to seeing him back courtside.”

Reps for Morgan are yet to respond to the incident.

Morgan, a fixture at the Madison Square Garden for years, has never been shy about his Knicks loyalty. In a 2023 interview, he proudly stated, “I’m not a fair-weather fan. I’m with the good, bad, and ugly… I’m a New Yorker. I’m a New York fan.”

The 55-year-old comedian has faced multiple health struggles over the years. He underwent a kidney transplant in 2010 due to complications from diabetes and has spoken openly about past struggles with alcohol.

In 2014, Morgan survived a near-fatal car crash when a tractor-trailer struck his vehicle on the New Jersey Turnpike, leaving him with severe injuries and long-term recovery challenges.
