The medical experts also advised Alabama Barker, who quit vaping abruptly, that stopping cold turkey—even after occasional use—can trigger withdrawal symptoms. The exact time of her hospital admission remains unclear.
TMZ reported that Alabama, described as only an occasional vape smoker, seems to have been discharged from the hospital in time to celebrate her birthday on Christmas Eve.
In a TikTok video posted on Friday, December 27, the 19-year-old also shared that she had recently battled the flu. "I have had the flu, and I’ve not been okay," Alabama said, adding that she "didn’t get to enjoy [my birthday] because I was so sick but I am back on my feet."
Alabama went on to showcase her "Christmas haul," which has been valued at $80,000. It included high-end items like Chrome Hearts gloves and wallet, a custom diamond necklace from her sister, Atiana de la Hoya, and a pink Balenciaga purse.
She also showcased luxury items like a Prada duffle bag, a vintage Dior Boston bag, diamond earrings from her father, and her third Cartier Love bracelet.
"I am so grateful for all my gifts and I wanted to share because some people requested it," Alabama said in the three-minute video.
Alabama further revealed a vintage Chanel backpack, an $8,000 Enfants Riches jacket, and several designer pieces from brands like Poster Girl, Jean Paul Gaultier, and Gucci. Her haul was capped off by her "favorite" gift—a second Birkin bag worth around $20,000.

Alabama Barker reportedly decided to quit vaping in order to focus on her rap career. Sources in the music industry had apparently advised her to stop, warning of the potential harm vaping could cause to her voice.
On December 13, Alabama released the music video for her rap song, 'Vogue', which marked her first music video. The video features appearances from her famous father, Blink-182 drummer Travis, and her stepmother, Kourtney Kardashian.
In the video, Alabama and Kourtney are seen sitting in a limousine wearing sunglasses before paparazzi approach, prompting them to remove their shades and fan themselves with $100 bills. Later, Alabama is shown walking down a catwalk, lip-syncing while wearing a tight, full-body suit.
