Travis Kelce gushes about Taylor Swift's unique ability to break ice with people: 'She's a pro at it'
KANSAS CITY, MISSOURI: Travis Kelce doesn’t miss a chance to praise Taylor Swift for her ability to connect with people.
On the Wednesday, January 29, episode of the 'New Heights' podcast, the Kansas City Chiefs star, 35, praised Swift's lasting impression on his and Jason Kelce's friends during his game on Sunday, January 26.

Taylor Swift instantly recognized Travis Kelce’s friends
Kelce brothers' friends Brandon Borders and Jake Chatzky, known as 'Intern Brandon' and 'Jets Jake,' recalled meeting the Grammy winner at the VIP box in Arrowhead Stadium as they watched the Chiefs defeat the Buffalo Bills, securing a spot in the 2025 Super Bowl.
“We walked in the door, and — I'll give this away — she said our names immediately,” Borders said of meeting Swift.
He recalled how she greeted them enthusiastically, saying, “Oh my God. Brandon, Jake, finally!”
The excitement of the moment left them both stunned as they hadn’t expected such a warm and personal welcome from Taylor Swift.
Borders shared that the interaction completely caught them off guard. “We were floored,” he said, adding “It shook us immediately and threw us.”
Chatzky echoed Borders' sentiment, adding that the experience felt surreal.

The two friends had anticipated meeting Taylor Swift, but her friendly and engaging nature exceeded their expectations.
Travis Kelce, who has been dating Swift since the summer of 2023, complimented her ability to make people feel comfortable, saying, “She knows how to break the ice. She does. She's a pro at it.”
Borders continued saying Swift likely sensed how nervous he and Jake were.
“Probably read that Jake and I were terrified. She's like, ‘I'm sensing a lot of middle school dance energy from these two,’” Borders said.

Brandon Borders also revealed that Taylor Swift complimented the 'New Heights' podcast which Travis and his brother, Jason Kelce release every week.
The tight end assured listeners that Swift keeps up with the show.
“She gave us some creative compliments,” Borders said. He added that after receiving praise from Swift, no one else’s opinions would matter to him for a long time.
“You can't tell me s**t for the rest of my f***g life. I'm gonna be obnoxious,” he joked. “I'm not listening to a goddamn thing for another six years," he added, OK! reported.
Swift was cheering on Kelce as he helped the Chiefs secure their third consecutive Super Bowl appearance when she met Kelce's friends.
The Chiefs will face the Philadelphia Eagles in the Super Bowl at the New Orleans Caesars Superdome on Sunday, February 9.
