Travis Kelce's likely meet with Prince Harry soon after William encounter may land him amid family feud

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Travis Kelce has just met one of the most highly decorated royals during his attendance at Taylor Swift’s London gig last week! 

The Kansas City Chiefs tight end and Swift’s boyfriend had a blast when he was in the audience during the pop star’s uber successful concert at Wembley, London on Friday, June 21. 

After the concert, his Grammy-winning singer girlfriend shared a selfie with Travis, Prince William and his two children - George and Charlotte. 

Travis not only enjoyed the meeting but also gushed about meeting royalty later in his podcast. But if things go according to plan, the NFL superstar might find himself meeting another royal soon (and indirectly get involved in the royal family feud).

Travis Kelce may meet Prince Harry 

Soon after meeting Prince William, Travis may find himself meeting another British royal, Prince Harry at the ESPY Awards. The 34-year-old athlete and his Kansas City Chiefs teammates are nominated for an ESPY award for the best team of the year. 

In the award ceremony scheduled to take place in Los Angeles on July 11, Prince William’s estranged brother is also expected to make an appearance as the Duke of Sussex will be honored with the Pat Tillman Award for Service for his Invictus Games. 

Thus, the British press is abound with the rumor that after gushing about the Prince of Wales so much in his podcast, the NFL star will now have to choose between a side in the royal rift. 

An insider with the wind of the situation, recently shared with The Sun, “Travis is like the most sociable, happy-go-lucky, kind person in any room and is sure to want to say hello to the Prince and interact with the Sussexes.”

The source added that Harry will likely be "just feet away" from Kelce, and noted, “It could be interesting given how much Travis hit it off with William.”

Gushing about Travis’ warm deneanor, the insider added, “That is his style, and honestly he is one of the biggest names in US sport.”

They, however, added, "For Harry it could be a potentially awkward encounter given that Travis spoke so warmly about and praised William.”

"This will make headlines no matter what happens,” added the source, before commenting, “If Harry ducks Travis that would look weird and if they chat the question will be whether they discussed William."

While it is yet to be seen what happens between Harry and Travis should they meet each other, the equation between Harry’s wife Meghan Markle and Taylor Swift leaves nothing much to be desired.

Travis Kelce gushed about Prince William

After meeting Prince William backstage, Travis Kelce was smitten with the royal as he revealed in his podcast. He said that “no other Prince” is doing it like William.

In his podcast, the athlete said, "We met royalty, guys. There was royalty at the show. I got there early and got to meet Prince William. How bout that? Your Royal Highness."

While he admitted that the prince "so cool", he didn't know how to address him. He continued, "I wasn't sure if I was supposed to bow to them, curtsy or just be an American idiot and shake their hand.”

"Because we weren't at an elegant, official royal event, we didn't have to bow,” shared Travis and noted, "If it would've been an official meeting-of-royalty event, then it would have been that."

After meeting the prince, Swift wished William on his birthday by sharing the selfie.
