So far this season, Travis has recorded only eight catches for 69 yards and is yet to score a touchdown. Amid this scrutiny, many people online have speculated that his struggles might be influenced by his girlfriend Taylor Swift suggesting he isn't playing with the same speed and finesse as before.

Donna Kelce is calling out the “dads, Brads, and Chads!”

At the New York City premiere of the FX series 'Grotesquerie' on September 23, she expressed how challenging it has been to hear negative comments about her son Travis Kelce's performance in the NFL. 

Donna told People, addressing the NFL critics, famously dubbed, "dads, Brads, and Chads" by Taylor Swift.

“I don’t think they realize the pressure that people are under, whether they’re athletes or professionals that are in front of the camera. And it's just very difficult, there’s a lot of things going on behind the scenes,” she said.

Donna further emphasized the challenges Travis faces on the field, stating, “You don’t realize how many times people are trying to keep you from catching the ball, or trying to trip you up or hit you… so it's kinda hard when you’ve got people that are in your face 24/7.”

She attended the premiere as the Kelce family's representative, while Travis was in Kansas City celebrating his team's 22-17 victory over the Atlanta Falcons the day before.

Although the criticism has been tough for Donna to handle, she explained, “It’s part of the whole thing. I’ve been doing it for 15 years now. It is what it is.”

She added, “I know when they’re out there, they’re giving everything they can. And sometimes people fall short. You don’t want to, but sometimes there are other things that are going on.”
