Donna Kelce reveals 'interesting' reason why son Travis and Taylor Swift are a perfect match

KANSAS CITY, MISSOURI: Donna Kelce recently shared her thoughts on why Taylor Swift is a great match for her son, Travis Kelce.

Speaking to Page Six at the premiere of 'Grotesquerie' in New York City — where Travis appears in Ryan Murphy’s 10-episode FX drama series, Donna expressed how she finds their relationship "kind of interesting."

According to E News, "It's fun," Donna shared exclusively to the outlet, adding, "It's still new," hinting at the excitement and freshness surrounding this latest chapter in his career.

“He’s a good guy. He really is. He’s good,” Donna said of her son. “He’s kind. He’s generous. And from what I understand, so is she.” She added her hopes for the couple, saying, “I hope they’re having a good time.”

Donna’s support for Travis extends beyond his romantic life - she also praised his venture into acting. “Oh, it’s so awesome," she said, reflecting on her pride in seeing him branch out into new territory.

“Just to be able to see your kids do what they absolutely love to do... I know he wanted to try [acting], so we’ll see how it goes.”

At 71, Donna is a proud mother to both Travis and Jason Kelce, who have each carved out successful careers, with a combined total of four Super Bowl wins and their hit podcast, New Heights. Donna credits her sons’ success to following their passions.

“I’ve always told them, ‘If you do something you love to do, you will get really good at it.’”

She acknowledged that it’s still early days for Travis in acting but believes his background as an athlete might help. “He’s very coachable because he is in sports,” Donna pointed out, hinting at his adaptability in new environments.

Donna described the experience as “a whirlwind,” recalling how their lives changed dramatically when both of her sons’ NFL teams became top contenders - culminating in their Super Bowl face-off in 2023.

The Kansas City Chiefs, led by Travis, emerged victorious over Jason’s Philadelphia Eagles, securing a 38-35 win in Super Bowl LVII.

Reflecting on her sons' careers and their growing celebrity status, Donna said, “I just can’t believe what’s happened over the last couple years.”

While Swift wasn’t in attendance for Travis’ most recent game against the Atlanta Falcons, where the Chiefs won 22-17, she has been spotted cheering him on at several games.

Often, Swift is seen sitting alongside Donna and her husband, Ed Kelce, in the stands.

For the Chiefs' season opener against the Baltimore Ravens, Donna paid tribute to both Travis and Taylor by wearing a custom baseball cap featuring holly sprigs and white cosmos - flowers symbolizing their respective October and December birthdays.
