Travis Kelce’s mother Donna explains why Taylor Swift may not join their family on Thanksgiving
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: As Thanksgiving approaches, fans are wondering whether Taylor Swift will be spending the holiday with her boyfriend Travis Kelce and his family.
However, Travis' mother, Donna Kelce, 72, has shed some light on the situation. During an appearance on 'The Today Show' on Thursday, November 14, Donna said she doesn't expect Swift to join them for the holiday.
Donna Kelce says Taylor Swift likely won’t spend Thanksgiving with them
"I don't think so. She's kind of busy right now. She still has her tour to do," Donna explained, referring to Swift's ongoing 'Eras Tour' which is set to wrap up in Vancouver on December 8.
While Swift's absence from the Kelce family's Thanksgiving celebration seems likely, Donna did mention that the Kelces' holiday plans will revolve around football.
Travis, 35, and his Kansas City Chiefs' team will be playing a game against the Las Vegas Raiders on Friday, November 29, the day after Thanksgiving.

"I am going to be at a football game. Travis is playing the day after Thanksgiving," Donna said, confirming that her family’s holiday festivities will likely take place at Arrowhead Stadium where the Chiefs are currently riding a nine-game winning streak.
Donna Kelce reflects on family’s NFL Thanksgiving traditions
Donna Kelce, who has experienced her share of NFL Thanksgivings with her older son, Jason Kelce, 37, a former center for the Philadelphia Eagles, explained that football has always been a major part of her family’s holiday traditions. "Football is always the holidays," she remarked, adding "I think we’re just going to be at the football game."
Though the Kelces may not be having a traditional Thanksgiving dinner, Donna's comments emphasize that the focus will be on family and football as Travis and his team continue to chase success this season.
Meanwhile, Swift, 34, who has attended several Chiefs games this season, continues to show her support for Travis both on and off the field. She was present at the Chiefs' November 10 game against the Denver Broncos where Travis made history by tying Tony Gonzalez for the most touchdown receptions in franchise history.
Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce show unwavering support for each other despite public scrutiny
According to the People, Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce have made it clear they are committed to supporting each other publicly. Last December, when Swift was named TIME magazine's 2023 Person of the Year, she spoke about their relationship and how they handle the intense public attention.
"When you say a relationship is public, that means I’m going to see him do what he loves, we’re showing up for each other, other people are there and we don’t care,” she shared. “The opposite of that is you have to go to an extreme amount of effort to make sure no one knows that you’re seeing someone. We’re just proud of each other,” Swift added, emphasizing how they prioritize each other's happiness amid the spotlight.
