KANSAS CITY, MISSOURI: Looking dashing in an all-black ensemble, Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce caused a stir among fans with his longer hair while attending the Kansas City Sports Awards on Tuesday, August 27.

The Chiefs tight end, wearing a dark polo to go with his suit, split Swifties on social media when he sported his training camp mustache with a sleek hairstyle.

The 34-year-old tight end was recognized as the Polsinelli Sportsman of the Year at the banquet on Tuesday, per Page Six.

Teammate Patrick Mahomes reportedly disclosed that Travis Kelce's girlfriend, Taylor Swift, was the one who persuaded the tight end to grow out his hair.

"I’ve been trying to get him to grow his hair out and all of a sudden Taylor gets him to do it," Mahomes said at a Tuesday town hall with SiriusXM NFL Radio

Upon returning to Kansas City, Missouri, for training camp earlier this summer, fans noticed that Kelce, who had previously opted for a buzzcut fade, had begun to grow out both his hair and mustache, per Page Six.

His hair is still slightly more cropped on the sides, but it's a little longer at the top and falls slightly over his forehead. He made a statement by shaving off his trademark dark brown beard besides growing out his mustache.

Kelce has never held back from showcasing his unique appearance and displaying his grooming routine. Kelce visited famous barber Vince Garcia shortly after winning the Super Bowl in February to get a "fresh cut."

Although Kelce usually gets the buzzcut fade, he had to clarify that he did not create the style after it was dubbed the "Travis Kelce haircut" in a New York Times article.

Swift has undoubtedly been supportive of her partner even though she was not there for the Kansas City Sports occasion. Over the last year, the superstar attended 13 Chiefs games, including the Super Bowl, frequently donning team apparel and other symbolic looks.

"I always do the Andy Reid special, baby," Kelce quipped, alluding to the renowned Chiefs coach and his mustache, per Page Six.

While Kelce did not wear a beard, he opted for a longer hairstyle; the NFL player explained that he "grew out the hair" in order to become "kind of like a different character with the 'stache'."

He said, "I switched it up. I don’t got the buzz cut. I’m not as super trooper."
