Travis Scott arrested for yacht fight in Miami on disorderly intoxication and trespassing charges
MIAMI, FLORIDA: Rapper Travis Scott was arrested in Miami-Dade County, Florida on Thursday, June 20.
The 33-year-old artist was booked for disorderly intoxication and trespassing on a property after being given a warning.
Scott had a bond that totaled $650, with $150 for the intoxication charges and $500 for the trespassing.
What did the affidavit reveal about Travis Scott's arrest?
As per legal documents, the bond had been submitted as of Thursday. The concerned authorities were alerted about the incident that took place at the Miami Beach Marina, located at 300 Alton Road.
The complaint of fighting on a yacht was made, and after the cops arrived, they found Scott "yelling at the vessel occupants."
"Officers made contact with [Scott] to conduct an investigation. The defendant was asked by officers to sit down, at which point [he] temporarily sat down and then began continuously standing back up, disregarding officers' commands,” per the affidavit.
“Throughout the interaction, officers on scene could sense a strong smell of alcohol coming from the defendants' breath."
Though the complainant did not want to press charges, they did request Scott leave the vessel. Scott was then told to leave the dock "or he would be arrested," police said.
"Throughout the long walk from the vessel to the boardwalk," authorities wrote, "[Scott] walked backwards, yelling obscenities to the occupants of the vessel."
Scott then left the premises, but returned "approximately 5 minutes later" and walked back to the yacht, 'disregarding officers' commands not to go," reported People.
According to authorities, "[Scott] began yelling once again, becoming erratic, disturbing the peace of the occupants of the marina and nearby residential buildings, causing a public disturbance."
Travis Scott admitted he was intoxicated after arrest
The ‘Maria I’m Drunk’ crooner was finally arrested and transported to the Miami Beach Police Department.
Scott "later admitted that he had been drinking alcohol and stated, 'It's Miami,'" police claimed.
The rapper had been arrested in the past when he encouraged attendees to climb over security barricades and storm the stage, which went out of control after a Lollapalooza performance.
"There was no physical altercation with anyone," a source told the outlet.
"This was a rowdy party and Travis was already bailed out for a few hundred dollars. He is already home. There will be no further action to be taken as it was a minor incident akin to receiving a ticket with no injuries," they added.
