Troll schooled for trying to diss Prince William for not being present in Kate Middleton’s cancer reveal video

LONDON, UK: Princess Catherine, also referred to as Kate Middleton, disclosed her cancer diagnosis and that she is undergoing chemotherapy in a private video message made public by Kensington Palace.

In the video, Princess Middleton was seen without her husband, Prince William, when she announced her diagnosis. Noticing the absence of her husband, a few social media users tried to diss William for not being in the diagnosis reveal video.

Internet criticized Prince William for not supporting Kate Middleton

Internet user posted on X (formerly Twitter) criticizing William for not supporting his wife publicly when she was revealing her cancer battle while sitting alone on a bench.

The user posted, "When you let your wife to announce to the whole world that she has cancer and facing the biggest battle of her life, alone sitting in a bench. William should have been there by her side sitting next to her. He fumbled this big time. #KateMiddleton"

Another user wrote mocking, "He's probably sulking cos the divorce is now off !"

One commentator compared William with his brother Prince Harry, "If Meghan did an announcement like that, Harry would be there holding her hands and giving her strength while she talked. The difference between Harry and William."

On the other hand, netizens were sure that William was around Middleton but out in the video frame. A user commented, "He might have been standing just out of view. I wish people would leave them alone."

Another user added believing that William would have been present if Middleton wanted him there in the video, "I’m 100% sure if Kate had wanted William beside her, he would’ve been right there."

Kate Middleton diagnosed with cancer after abdominal surgery

After the Princess's "planned abdominal surgery" in January, news of Middleton's cancer diagnosis on March 22 was unexpected since the surgery was thought to be non-cancerous at the time.

Tests conducted after the surgery, however, showed that the cancer was present although its precise nature is still unknown. A representative for Kensington Palace emphasized the Princess's right to private medical information.

Princess Kate gave assurances to the public about her health, saying she's "getting stronger every day" and is undergoing chemotherapy.

Kate and Prince William are focusing on her recovery and will take a temporary leave from royal duties. Many, including estranged British royal Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, have wished Princess Catherine a speedy recovery.
