Donald Trump points out Air Force One flyover to White House trick-or-treaters
One of the biggest moments of the evening came when the new Air Force One flew over the South Lawn. The aircraft, featuring its signature red, white, blue and gold colours, passed over the White House before turning around and making another flyover.
Trump paused the festivities to point out the aircraft to the children gathered on the lawn before returning to greet the guests.

The president and Melania welcomed around 6,000 people for the annual Halloween event, handing out commemorative full-sized chocolate bars to young trick-or-treaters.
The celebration brought together an unusual mix of costumes. Children dressed as founding fathers and dinosaurs mingled with people dressed as soldiers in camouflage and bright yellow bananas.
Young trick-or-treater hands Donald Trump historic document
Among the memorable interactions was a young boy dressed as a founding father who approached Trump with what appeared to be a historic document.

The paper was believed to be either the Constitution or the Declaration of Independence, and the boy handed it to the president for his signature.
Trump also signed the uniforms of two race car drivers who attended the celebration. Parents made sure to capture the moments on camera as children got the opportunity to meet the president and first lady.

Hugs and photographs were part of the festivities, while the US Air Force string band provided the spooky music in the background.
The South Lawn was decorated for Halloween with pumpkins and squash covering the grounds. A massive harvest moon display was also placed on the balcony above the lawn, glowing orange with silhouettes of flying bats moving across it.

Several senior administration officials also brought their families to the event.
Secretary of War Pete Hegseth, deputy chief of staff Stephen Miller and US Trade Representative Jamieson Greer were among those who attended.

The guest list also included military personnel, law enforcement members, foster families and adoptive families.
While the celebrations continued on the South Lawn, construction work on Trump's new ballroom was still underway nearby. Sparks could be seen flying as workers continued using metal saws, creating a contrast with the Halloween festivities.
White House Halloween event features candy, science kits and giant pumpkin
The celebration included more than costumes and trick-or-treating, with several departments and organizations providing special treats and activities for children.
The Treasury Department distributed coloring books promoting Trump Accounts, while the Center of Science and Industry provided STEAM science-experiment kits.

The International Fresh Produce Association brought apples from Michigan, while the National Confectioners Association supplied candy for the young guests.
The Agriculture Department also arranged a giant pumpkin photo opportunity, giving families another way to remember the evening.
