WASHINGTON, DC: President Donald Trump is currently leading new popularity polls, securing the top position in recent survey results. According to a special report, Trump’s approval ratings have not only placed him ahead in the latest rankings but have also surpassed those of Barack Obama and George W Bush at the same stage in their second presidential terms.

The polling surge comes at a time when global tensions remain high, particularly amid the Iran strike operation and the escalating conflict in the Middle East. Despite the ongoing geopolitical situation, Trump’s popularity appears to be holding strong in the latest data.

However,  Trump has not yet issued any public statement addressing the new report or the claim that his approval ratings now exceed those recorded by Obama and  Bush at this point in their presidencies.

New graph highlights Trump’s approval spikes in 2026 compared to past presidents

A new poll shared in a graph suggests that Trump is currently more popular than both Barack Obama and George W Bush were at the same stage of their second terms.

According to Fox News anchor Bret Baier, the chart compares second-term job approval at similar points in each presidency. The graph tracks Trump in 2026, Obama in 2014, and  Bush in 2006. In the chart, Trump’s line marked in yellow shows higher spikes across April, July, October and now early 2026. Obama appears in blue while Bush is shown in red.

Baier also shared another short clip on his X account highlighting a similar comparison discussed by CNN about 21st century presidents. The figures show Bush at 47 percent approval, Obama at 48 percent and Trump at 53 percent at the same stage of their second term presidencies.

The analysis also pointed to strong backing from Republican voters. It showed that Trump’s approval among members of the Republican Party has remained very high over the years, with about 98 per cent in 2020, 95 per cent in 2022 and 96 per cent in 2024, highlighting continued support from his party base.

Despite Iran strikes and Save America Act updates, Trump stays in the spotlight

Over the weekend of February 28,  Trump ordered a missile strike on Iran, reportedly killing Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. The US-Israel operation has now entered its sixth day, causing shifts in oil prices and stock markets.

Despite the ongoing tensions, Trump assured that the situation would not become a long-term problem. He also highlighted the Save America Act and shared key updates, drawing widespread attention. Amid these developments, Trump has maintained his top popularity position, breaking records once again on the political stage.
