WASHINGTON, DC: Donald Trump's campaign launched a crowdfunding drive over GoFundMe to support the victims and their families of the Pennsylvania rally shooting, reported Fox News.
The shooter, identified as Thomas Matthew Crooks, 20, by the FBI, fired multiple shots at the presumptive GOP nominee minutes into his speech at the Butler Farms Show Ground on Saturday, July 13.
A bullet pierced the top of Trump's right ear but he remained relatively unharmed otherwise and was quickly evacuated from the stage, while Secret Service snipers took down Crooks.
Unfortunately, former firefighter Corey Comperatore, 50, who was at the rally with his wife and daughters, died as he used his body as a shield against the bullets flying toward his family during the attempted assassination
Two more attendees, David Dutch, 57, of New Kensington, Pennsylvania, and James Copenhaver, 74, of Moon Township, Pennsylvania, were injured but are currently in stable condition, as per the Pennsylvania State Police.

The GoFundMe was launched by the Trump campaign's National Finance Director Meredith O’Rourke and was shared on Instagram by Lynne Patton, a former Trump administration political appointee.
The description of the campaign read, "President Donald Trump has authorized this account as a place for donations to the supporters and families wounded or killed in today’s brutal and horrific assassination attempt. All donations will be directed to these proud Americans as they grieve and recover. May God bless and unite our nation."
Former GOP presidential candidate and biotech entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy, who believed that "God intervened" to save Trump's life on Saturday, donated $30,000 to the cause.
UFC president Dana White and musician Kid Rock each contributed $50,000 to the page on Sunday. Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner donated $10,000, while conservative commentator Ben Shapiro pitched in $15,000, according to Fox News.
At the time of writing, the total amount collected by the fundraiser exceeded $3 million.
