WASHINGTON, DC: Donald Trump's campaign launched a crowdfunding drive over GoFundMe to support the victims and their families of the Pennsylvania rally shooting, reported Fox News.

The shooter, identified as Thomas Matthew Crooks, 20, by the FBI, fired multiple shots at the presumptive GOP nominee minutes into his speech at the Butler Farms Show Ground on Saturday, July 13.

A bullet pierced the top of Trump's right ear but he remained relatively unharmed otherwise and was quickly evacuated from the stage, while Secret Service snipers took down Crooks.

Unfortunately, former firefighter Corey Comperatore, 50, who was at the rally with his wife and daughters, died as he used his body as a shield against the bullets flying toward his family during the attempted assassination

Two more attendees, David Dutch, 57, of New Kensington, Pennsylvania, and James Copenhaver, 74, of Moon Township, Pennsylvania, were injured but are currently in stable condition, as per the Pennsylvania State Police.

All donations will be directed to these proud Americans as they grieve and recover. May God bless and unite our nation."

Internet reacts as Donald Trump-authorized GoFundMe crosses $3 million

Netizens shared their thoughts on the GoFundMe arranged by the Trump campaign for the victims of the Pennsylvania rally shooting.

"Glad we stand together in tragedy," wrote a person and another added, "The good and righteous coming together."

One offered, "Money can't bring back a lost one. But for a family that lost a dad it can help soften the blow."

"Things like this rekindle my faith in humanity," stated another person.

Meanwhile, there were some who cast doubt on Trump's true intentions.

One asked, "How much money is going to Trump?" and another inquired, "Is he taking a percentage?" while an individual claimed, "That poor family will never see the money."

"The victims' families won't see a dime of that money," remarked one more.
