'God bless Secret Service': Donald Trump’s family members react to horrific assassination attempt on ex-POTUS

BUTLER, PENNSYLVANiA: Donald Trump Jr attributed the responsibility for the shooting at Saturday's rally to the radical left but assured that it wouldn't hinder his father's campaigning efforts, per Daily Mail.

This came hours after gunfire erupted at former President Donald Trump's rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, disrupting what was already an exceptional campaign season.

While investigations are ongoing, Donald Trump Jr indicated that there was no doubt who was behind the apparent assassination attempt.

“I just spoke to my father on the phone and he is in great spirits,” the former First Son said.

“He will never stop fighting to save America, no matter what the radical left throws at him,” he remarked.

What did Donald Trump's family members say following assassination attempt?

The 78-year-old MAGA figurehead was delivering a spirited speech at his Pennsylvania rally when gunshots rang out.

Donald Trump quickly clutched his right ear with his right hand, then glanced at his hand before dropping down behind the podium as Secret Service agents rushed to shield him.

Additional gunfire could be heard during the live video stream before the words "shooter down."

When the 2024 presumptive GOP nominee rose to his feet again, blood was visible beneath his right ear.

The chaos had caused his red 'Make America Great Again' cap to be dislodged.



 

Donald Trump Jr posted a picture of his father pumping his fist in the air following the assassination attempt, on X, formerly Twitter, with the caption, “He'll never stop fighting to Save America.”

Trump’s daughters were also tweeting after the horrific incident, with Ivanka Trump expressing gratitude to the Secret Service for their swift intervention.



 

The former White House advisor wrote, “Thank you for your love and prayers for my father and for the other victims of today's senseless violence in Butler, Pennsylvania. I am grateful to the Secret Service and all the other law enforcement officers for their quick and decisive actions today. I continue to pray for our country. I love you Dad, today and always.”

Tiffany Trump thanked God for keeping her father, Donald Trump, alive after he was shot during his Pennsylvania address on Saturday night. She, along with her siblings, thanked the Secret Service for their efforts and prayed for the victims.



 

“The outpouring of love and support for my dad is deeply appreciated. Thank you God for keeping my father alive. Political violence is never the answer. God bless the secret service and law enforcement who fearlessly intervened. Please include the families of the victims in your prayers. As you saw today, my father is a fighter and he will continue to fight for you and the USA,” Tiffany wrote.

Eric Trump tweeted a photo of his father after he survived the shooting attempt, saying, “This is the fighter America needs!”



 

The 40-year-old later wrote “Never Surrender!!” on X, to rally the former President’s ever-ardent supporters behind him after Saturday’s incident.

His wife, the co-chair of the Republican National Committee, Lara Trump, posted a doctored image of former President Trump with Jesus behind him, with the caption, “Fear not, for I am with you.”



 

Donald Trump Jr’s wife, Kimberly Guilfoyle tweeted moments after the shooting attempt on her father-in-law, saying, “God Bless President Trump. Pray for his safety. Pray for our country. He’s the toughest, hardest-working leader our country has ever seen.”

The host of ‘The Kimberly Guilfoyle Show’ on Rumble, also tweeted, ““No weapon formed against you shall prosper, And every tongue which rises against you in judgment, You shall condemn.” We love you @realDonaldTrump.”



 

It is to be noted that former First Lady Melania Trump didn’t put out any tweets following the assassination attempt on his husband’s life and no official statements from her side have come out either.
