CHARLOTTE, NORTH CAROLINA: Former president Donald Trump baselessly claimed that Vice President Kamala Harris "is totally against the Jewish people", a statement that would likely surprise Second Gentleman Doug Emhoff, who is Jewish.

The Republican nominee revamped his attacks against Harris, who replaced President Joe Biden as the Democratic presumptive nominee earlier this week, securing enough delegates, Mediaite reported.

Announcing his exit from the re-election bid, Biden endorsed the vice president to face Trump in November on July 21. The President's withdrawal came amid mounting pressure for him to drop out following a disastrous debate performance last month.

Trump and his campaign shifted the gear from focusing on the octagenarian's cognitive fitness to Harris in the first campaign rally since Biden announced his exit from the 2024 race.

Donald Trump attacks Kamala Harris at North Carolina rally

Addressing his supporters at a rally in Charlotte, North Carolina, on Wednesday, July 24, the 45th president said, "Now, what she's doing is she's running away from Israel. She refuses to go to Bibi Netanyahu, who is in Washington."

"Even if you're against Israel or you're against the Jewish people, show up and listen to the concept. But she's totally against the Jewish people," Trump added.

Earlier the day, Harris snubbed Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's speech at the joint session of Congress. Instead, she attended a previously scheduled event at a Black college sorority gathering, the Zeta Phi Beta, in Indianapolis. However, she is set to meet Netanyahu in a private meeting at the White House. Her views on Israel would be closely watched in light of her ascension to Biden's shoes amid Israel's continued bloodshed in Palestine.

Besides the Vice President, many Democrats abstained from the Israeli PM's speech due to increasing Palestinian casualties in the Jewish state's ongoing war in Gaza.

Speaking in North Carolina, Trump doubled down on his criticism of Jewish people who vote for Democrats.

"And it amazes me how Jewish people will vote for the Democrats when they're being treated so disrespectfully and badly," he said. "It amazes me. It's shocking. I don't, I don't get it. I don't get it."

The former president made the same rhetoric in March during a podcast interview where he claimed that any American Jew supporting the Democratic Party hated their religion and Israel.

"He loves, loves to make things up. At the spur of the moment at that..." another remarked.

"Someone quick tell these idiot her husband is Jewish," one person said.

"Trump is Desperate! They’ve got nothing on Kamala," another response read.

"Kamala Harris MTSA = made Trump scared again!" one individual joked.

"We don't have much expectations from him. No surprises here from him nor his followers that believe all the lies," someone else chimed in.

"The thinking and vocabulary of a four year old. I know it used to be five, but it’s dropped! He has destroyed the Republican Party!" one individual opined.

"The village idiot again. Feeding lies to his minions who prefer lies over the truth!" another added.
