SAVANNAH, GEORGIA: Donald Trump was trolled after he mistakenly posted online, "A great day in Louisiana!" while he was rallying in Georgia state, on Tuesday, September 24.

The former president however was quick to clarify and hide the gaffe with another post on Truth Social.

Several people reacted to Donald Trump’s "Louisiana" remark, "Trump spent the day in Georgia then posted that it was 'A great day in Louisiana,' another example of how he’s changing American politics with his outside-the-box approach to social media. Also, Joe Biden is old and in mental decline," wrote columnist Rex Huppke.

"Trump was in Georgia, not Louisiana. Who’s gonna tell him?" tweeted columnist and Trump biographer Tim O'Brien.

"Dementia Don strikes again. (Trump was in Georgia today. not Louisiana)," joined the account Republicans Against Trump.

"Trump appears to have lost a total grasp on things. Donald Trump can’t seem to remember what state he’s even in anymore," wrote The New Republic.

During his address in Georgia, the former president assured that the US will be a "different country" as he will take "other countries jobs" and "their factories." Trump referred to the implementation of sweeping changes to boost American manufacturing and bringing jobs back from the overseas.

Trump covered up his mistake by posting later on social media, “Internal polling in Louisiana has me winning the state by the largest margin I’ve ever had—MAGA2024!”

Netizens troll Donald Trump despite his clarification over 'great day in Louisiana!' statement

Internet was ruthless as they joked about Donald Trump's mental health. Users claimed the Republican frontrunner is living in a fool's paradise believing he won the debate over Kamala Harris.

A user commented on X, "In all seriousness, why did Republicans nominate a 78-year old guy with serious signs of mental decline as their official Nominee for The Presidency 🤔."

"Someone let the genius out of the stable again," another user joked.

"He's just one step away from wandering off and the Secret Service having to go find him wandering down a Florida freeway. I don't think Melania would notice him missing," an individual trolled Trump.

"Where is the major press and others calling for trump to dropout saying he’s too old and losing his mind. Hypocrites," an individual wrote.

Another online user shared, "He was celebrating his crushing lead over Kamala You are phoning it in at this point🤡🤡😂."
