WASHINGTON, DC: President Donald Trump addressed the House GOP during a retreat at the newly renamed Trump-Kennedy Center on Tuesday, January 6. The president addressed several things, including the upcoming midterm elections.

He told his fellow Republicans that if the GOP didn’t win the upcoming elections, the democrats would find a reason to impeach him. Trump added that he had been impeached in the past and was blindsided by it.

Trump urges Republicans to win the crucial midterms

During his speech at the House GOP Retreat, Trump spoke to his fellow Republicans, urging them to win the upcoming midterm elections. The president stated that if they lost, the Democrats would find a reason to impeach him.

Trump added that the only reason the Democrats didn’t get impeached was that his opposition was “meaner” than the Republicans.

“We should have impeached Joe Biden for a hundred different things,” Trump said at the GOP Retreat.

Trump called the democrats “mean but smart,” with horrible policies. He added that despite their smartness, they wanted open borders and gender fluid sports. The president talked about gender affirmation surgeries and took the state of Minnesota as an example.

He said that in Minnesota, they didn’t even tell parents if their children were undergoing Gender affirming surgeries. Trump noted that he had tried shedding light on the matter several times, but nobody believed him.

“They operate on the kid, and they don’t tell the parents, it’s not believable,” he said.

Trump notes Democrats’ unity in remarks to GOP lawmakers

Trump added that the republicans had “solid” strategies and policies compared to the Democrats' “horrendous” policies. However, he praised his opposition’s unity, noting they would always stick together.

“They never have a no vote,” Trump said at the House GOP retreat.

Trump recalled his previous impeachment, stating that he didn’t even know about his impeachment until after the fact. Trump added that he received a phone call and didn’t know what it meant.

“It took them 10 minutes. They impeached the president of the United States,” Trump added.

The president further touted his policies as he praised himself for a job well done, stating that he rebuilt the military and the space force, and did everything. Donald Trump claimed that the democrats impeached him twice in the past over nothing significant.

GOP’s shrinking majority may spell trouble

January 5 marked the last day of Georgia representative Marjorie Taylor Greene’s term in office, and on January 6, the Republicans lost one of their own, Doug LaMalfa, as the representative suddenly passed away at the age of 65.

Although the Republicans are still leading in numbers, the margin is quite close, with the GOP having 218 members while the Democrats have 213.

However, more bad news found its way to the Republicans as NBC News reported the same day as LaMalfa’s demise that Jim Baird, another GOP representative, had been hospitalized after meeting with an accident.
