Trump criticizes Fed Chair Jerome Powell, claims he has 'Trump Derangement Syndrome'

WASHINGTON, DC: President Donald Trump held a press conference at the White House on Sunday, December 14, and during the address he touched on several topics, including the state of the American economy.

Trump criticized the Chair of the Federal Reserve of the United States Jerome Powell, and said that despite him, the interest rates were coming down.

Trump added that Powell was an “incompetent person” who suffered "from Trump Derangement Syndrome."

Trump slams Biden administration for ‘worst inflation’ in history 

During his speech on Sunday, Donald Trump said that he was going to pick a new “Fed” soon. As he criticized Jerome Powell, he said that the administration was working to get the inflation down despite him and that they were “fighting through that stuff.”

Trump added that “we had numbers that nobody has ever seen before” and that soon America would see a Fed that wanted to see inflation rates decrease.

He told the media personnel that America was “doing really well” and said that the current government inherited a mess from Biden.

“We had the worst inflation in the history of our country,” he said. 

The president added that when Joe Biden was in power, prices were the “highest” they had ever been and the Trump administration was “bringing them down.” 

Trump claims inflation is ‘totally neutralized’

Donald Trump claimed on Sunday that under his administration, inflation was “totally neutralized.”

He stated that they might be able to decrease it further, but added that they didn’t want “deflation” which was worse than inflation.

Trump stated that there was a “record-setting,” adding that they had “more people working on Friday” than at any time in America’s history.

The president further said that wages were higher than inflation, and said, “We are doing great.” 



Trump chimed in on the Democrats claiming that America was going through an affordability crisis, and added that they were the ones who caused the problem. 

Trump terms the coming years a ‘Golden age’ for America

The president revealed that several factories and plants were set to open in the country, noting that America was going to see a “Golden age.” He revealed that Toyota had said it would spend $10 billion to build factories in America.

He said, many companies were coming to America from different countries because they didn’t want to pay tariffs, and were willing to spend “hundreds of millions of dollars.”
