Trump drags new animal to bizarre Ohio pet-eating conspiracy theory, Internet asks 'what will be next?'
TUCSON, ARIZONA: Donald Trump has expanded his controversial claims by including a new animal in his conspiracy theory about Haitian immigrants in Ohio.
The latest animal added to the controversy by the former president is the goose. This new twist doubles down on his debunked assertions that these immigrants are involved in abducting and consuming pets.
Speaking at a campaign event in Tucson, Arizona, on Thursday, September 12, Trump said Haitian immigrants "descended upon" Springfield in the Buckeye State and were "destroying their way of life," reported The Daily Beast.
"A recording of 911 calls shows residents reporting that the migrants are walking off with the town’s geese. They’re taking the geese. You know where the geese are? In the park, in the lake. And even walking off with their pets," Trump said to the crowd.

Donald Trump claims Haitian immigrants are eating pets, including geese
The GOP presidential nominee made the baseless claim about the illegal immigrants from Haiti during his first debate against Vice President Kamala Harris on September 10, as per NBC News.
While responding to a question on immigration, he said the Haitian immigrants "are eating the dogs, the people that came in, they're eating the cats."
"They're eating the pets of the people that live there, and this is what's happening in our country, and it's a shame," he added.
ABC News moderator David Muir immediately did a fact check on the claim and noted Springfield's city manager said no credible reports of migrants harming or injuring pets in the city existed.
Trump's running mate, JD Vance, also escalated the false rumor, deeming it as evidence of the chaos caused by immigrants.
The false conspiracy theory stemmed from vague posts on social media and residents complaining about violence against pet animals without any evidence.
Springfield Mayor Rob Rue also dismissed the assertions recently, saying there were no documented cases of pet-eating immigrants and such rumors were shifting the focus from serious matters, including housing, resources for schools and crises in the healthcare system.
Trump's firm position on the conspiracy theory also contradicted a CEO from Springfield who hailed the Haitian immigrants for their hard-working nature and reliability.
New story about the Haitians in Springfield, OH, where the cat hoax originated. CEO of McGregor Metal: “I wish I had 30 more. Our Haitians come to work every day. They don’t have a drug problem. They’ll stay at their machine. That’s a stark difference from what we’re used to.” pic.twitter.com/JWjK1lpO0n

The campaign event in Arizona was Trump's first rally after he faced a setback in the face-off against Harris; however, he chose to reiterate the conspiracy theories debunked on the debate stage.
Donald Trump slammed for adding geese to pet-eating conspiracy theory

"Geese now too?! It was only cats dogs and ducks yesterday. What will be next?! Gerbils? Goldfish?" one social media user asked.
"Are you kidding me? How come this guy is still talking about this nonsense? Trump is truly delusional and sick," another remarked.
