ANCHORAGE, ALASKA: President Donald Trump was seen fawning over Russian President Vladimir Putin in a behind-the-scenes video from the Alaska summit, which was shared by the state-run Russian international news network Russia Today (RT).

The video shared by the Kremlin shows the POTUS and Putin standing together backstage near where they delivered public remarks following their three-hour meeting.

The clip, which was shared on X (formerly Twitter), showed Donald Trump laughing as he spoke to Vladimir Putin despite walking away without a deal and without sharing any details on progress toward ending the war in Ukraine.

Apart from Trump and Putin, the only person standing with them was the Russian president's translator.

In the clip, the POTUS was seen offering his hand first to shake hands with Putin. Trump then tapped their joined hands with his other hand, embracing Putin with a two-hand shake. He also shook the Russian translator’s hand at the end of the clip.

The Kremlin released the video following the summit, while the White House has been posting a series of clips from the historic visit in Alaska.

However, the White House has not yet shared any candid video of Trump and Putin together.

The video was taken right after their public remarks, during which neither of them took any questions from reporters.

RT described Trump and Putin's behind-the-scenes banter as "light chatter."

Meanwhile, Trump spoke with Sean Hannity on Friday, August 15, immediately following his meeting with Putin.

The Fox News host asked the POTUS if he was able to get any "alone time" with Putin, and Trump indicated that he did after the two leaders spoke publicly.

"He made a very good speech, and I also finished it up and afterwards we spoke right after that. We spoke very sincerely. I think he wants to see it done," the MAGA leader said.

Interestingly, Trump also invited Putin, before their in-person talks began, to join him in "The Beast," the presidential limousine, to ride from the tarmac in Anchorage, where the two first greeted each other on a specially laid red carpet.

An X (formerly Twitter) user wrote, "What I see is the two most powerful men in the world, who genuinely like each other and respect each other. That’s a great foundation for a friendship and normalized relations between Russia and America."

Another said, "Thank you for this candid shot. Americans are happy to welcome Russia."

A person gushed over the moment, writing, "That's beautiful."

An individual wrote, "Two of the most powerful men in the world, they should be able to speak, whether they find themselves at odds or not— we need peace— and it doesn’t happen if you don’t engage."

One more quipped, "Probably a couple of Trump hotels and a golf course that Putin will be partner in," while another pointed out, "They are talking like long lost friends. CIA has been the spoiler otherwise things can be solved by meeting."

"Yeah.... Where is the ceasefire trump promised on DAY ONE?" a person questioned.
